How would you be seeing what tips the chear person received? In the old days it was certainly my understanding that chear persons did not receive a salary at Chao Praya 2 for example. They relied on tips, and possibly kickbacks from girls as well. Waitresses did not receive a salary also, or extremely minimal and needed tips to survive.

Do chear persons in a soapy have set working hours? I am not so sure. They tend to show up a little bit irregularly.

It is very normal for people to tip the chear person at a soapy, where the chear person is helpful in some way, even the Thais do that. It can be very useful for example, to have the phone number of the cheer person. I could then ring and check if my favourite girl is working, and also have the cheer person make a booking for me. Obviously cheer persons get tips for this service, and also for recommending fantastic girls, instead of the dud ones. Soapies do have significant percentages of dud girls no chemistry, dick scared girls, very average girls, ones with body not so good, and then there are the good ones.

There maybe soapies where the tipping model does not work, e. G. Annies, and possibly soapies heavily oriented towards Japanese customers. Maybe they don't receive much tips at Nataree, I don't know. probably get kickbacks from girls though.

The best looking girls seem to be very limited in their numbers. Sometimes you find a good looker and the session is not great. Part of my problem is being turned off by fake noses and silicone tits. I don't go for the very fake looks that have become so popular today. Really struggle to find great lookers at la Belle where others think the girls look great. Many poor performances experienced there as well. Not a great deal of luck. Papasan tends to recommend girls just not my spec at all. Fake looks, nose jobs, silicones, westernised looking dolls.

Have visited The Lord two or 3 times. Yet to make a booking. Better looking girl was taken. In old days had a low percentage of good sessions at Nataree. In modern day visited there occasionally, usually leaving empty handed. Many girls above average, but very limited real stunners. Sometimes I saw a girl I liked but she was pre booked waiting or already sitting with a guy.

Many of the best girls at a venue can be pre-booked and don't even make it to the line up.

I think to really scout the talent, you have to be prepared to sit at a place for a long time, on multiple days, watching girls come and go with customers, and make notes of the best numbers, so that you can book them on another day. My ex favorite at Amsterdam, was first seen coming out of a booking on the arm of a customer, and I knew I wanted her immediately, tall, pretty face and very curvy hips. I hurriedly enquired if she had another booking coming up and fortunately not. I never ever saw her actually sitting in the Amsterdam standard line up area. Unfortunately she doesn't seem to work there any more and changed her phone number. Probably retired.

Overall its not very easy if you are fussy about girl meeting a certain set of specs. I find it much easier at the bar, and it's not quite so boring just perusing girls for long periods till find the one.

Years ago I was happy to sit in Chao Praya 2 for long periods, drinking, eating, etc. I got to see all the very best girls come and go. Unfortunately this place declined a lot.

I experienced an extremely impatient papas an at Amsterdam one time. I avoid him like the plague now. They meet you at the front door and escort you down to the front to view the girls. Seems they are expected to sit with you till you select a girl and then take you to the cash register where they probably expect a tip. (Girls have been known to suggest a tip for papas an as well. Just an aside thought).

If he's just trying to increase customer throughput like he was with you it shows his only interests are the interests of the establishment, so it's fair to assume he's on a salary.

Of course I haven't done an academic study on what percentage of customers tip, but I'm fairly sure it's a minority. If you sit in a go go bar it's obvious that almost all the customers leave tips. I've sat around in soapies and waited at the cashier for my turn and never seen it. More importantly they're just not acting in a way that suggests they expect a tip. They are quite helpful in Nataree, for example if you say you're looking for big tits today he might point one out hidden in a corner. And I always confirm she doesn't have a baby so I have a guarantee of that. Sometimes they laugh at me and say 'none of these girls have babies' but years ago I had a 2300 baht girl who did have nasty stretch marks. Probably they don't hire girls like that any more.

Maybe things are different in places like Amsterdam which seem more about ostentatious displays of wealth than getting your end away.

If I were to walk into a Ratchada soapy, my main issue is that I have to walk out very soon, and that is almost always the case now. And so its kind of award to keep doing that. Also, soapies are still charging more, yet have less quality. Which really prohibits my desire to go to them.

I think Nataree is probably still worth checking out. However, half the time it's nothing to write home about looks-wise. Quality wise, it's pretty mechanical, scripted and slightly rushed. Emmanuel, I went recently and most of the girls are really below average. But because it isn't swamped with dudes, there were like 2-3 attractive women ready and willing to please. So it helps to go to multiple and be willing to walk out if you don't see what you like.

If you go to Ratachada, be ready to walk into and out of a lot of soapies. Although, that has always been the case. It's just more so now that you can't walk into a single one and be glad you did.

In short, I only visit the oillies on Sukhumvit now. Best price and quality. I think the soapies are either getting hammered by japs (too many dudes, not enough girls working), or they are places where locals go to through money around in a group (gain face). And that the gogos are becoming falang tourist traps (It costs 4000 baht for short time there, if you add up all the costs: ST price (2500) lady drink (200 baht), BF (800), your drink (100-200), short-time room (350). Whereas the oillies provide that for 1/2 the price, and better accommodations. However, my biggest complaint with gogos is that there are nights that I literally cannot find a woman on Soi Cowboy that I would pay for sex. There are many times I can just hop from gogo to gogo and see not a single attractive dancer. I really hate wasting all the time and coming up empty.

Your assumption about the guy likely to be very helpful in order to get a tip, doesn't really work for me. Could be he has assumed he will either not get a tip from me, or will get a token tip regardless of service. This is correct. I don't like his attitude. He is not going to get a tip. I don't ask for his help, but potentially could, if I trusted him (a bit unlikely) and got worthwhile info, or he was simply nice and provided some service. Some lie and say girl has natural tits or no nose job, when I can see these problems with the girl as plain as day. Obviously customers go to wherever they have the best success rate for finding a very pretty girl that performs, or some customers go to where they can get a moderately pretty girl for the lowest price. Not every customer is looking for bottom price. Over the years I has better success rate at Amsterdam than Nataree for unknown reason, but importantly found a favourite there that was repeated plenty of times. As simple as that. There is still a massive fake nose problem at Amsterdam.

It could be that customers tip much less at the lower class Soapies, and tip much more at the higher class soapies. I will in future check about papasans'salaries, but certainly my understanding is that significant percentage of their earnings is coming from tips, at establishments that I have been a regular at, dating back from 15 to 20 years ago when I was a regular at Chao Praya 2, and excluding Annies, where I only became a customer in relatively recent years, and only really for specific girls.

I will research about it, because I don't like to just guess. I will report again on this topic, when I get some good info from papasans/mamasans that I have known very well for years.

Yeah, the oilers seem to be good for the money. I have been pleased with my experiences there. I also have discovered free lancers a few years ago and I am happy with that avenue. I've met quite a few lovely ladies that way, and I am fairly pleased with the price.

I too was stunned by the downturn at Emannuelle, in both total number of girls in the line up, and in the number of girls with natural beauty.

I was never a customer at Caesars, because of the attempts to charge double price for westerners, or very High Farang surcharge, and very small line ups when I first went there.

Copa Cabana also has been a struggle to select a girl in the modern day. Many years back it seemed great. Poseidon was always over rated ever since I can remember. Models upstairs were young with good bodies, but faces very ordinary and certainly mostly not my spec.

It's now years since I took a girl at any of these places. Long Beach, Hi Class, also went down hill. Last I looked, some very good looking girls in La Defense but quite difficult to find a great performer not scared of Farangs.

Utopia was another place that dropped off badly. Numbers of girls and customers severely dropped away. Had a favorite girl there long ago. She got older, put on weight, became less GFE (probably due to jaded with sex) and more dick scared, in addition to moving up to a higher price bracket. Had to abandon her. Hard to find a replacement.

My only soapy bookings in the last year or two that I can recall right now, have been Amsterdam, La Belle, Annies, Dr. BJ Nuru (almost like a soapy). Can't be bothered to go too far afield that often and leave empty handed. Even left The Lord and Nataree empty handed several times. If I did not mind the surgeries look, and westernised Asian look, and ridiculous hair styles, and was willing to take a girl less pretty than the ones already booked, all would be different I am sure.

Less than 50% of my La Belle sessions have been good, and hardly anyone worth repeating. Have done slightly better at Amsterdam. Dr. BJ Nuru and Annies has been easily the most successful for how much I enjoyed the session, but found you can do equally well at a place like Addict which has a spa bath (if desired), and ability to do body slide massage. So Addict could be considered to be an Oily/Soapy hybrid, and is a very good option. The standard of girls' line up is bit above most of the soapies. it is also very conveniently located for a quick look inside without going up to Ratchadaa or Petchburi road.

Does a soapy bath with the girl have any real importance? Not for me any more. It's really just about finding pretty girls with good bodies. I like the body slide fake massage more than the soapy bath. Soapy bath can be jest a waste of time and I hate the jacuzzies at La Belle (not comfortable).

15 years ago, was much easier to find girl natural looks to my taste in soapies with a big line up like Chao Praya 2 (big line up back then). Not now. Forget the joke detail), and pay 3 K, for sure are going to be extremely popular. However, I do find I can get to some of the very nice girls for my spec. Often my spec girls are not the same as the Japanese and Korean spec. If you do not go for ghostly white fake looking girls, can do okay Most of my girls prefer western guys (or so they say). Perhaps it is more so that western men prefer them more than Asians do.

Very hard indeed to find free lancers with perfect looks. Before the clothes come off, you don't know what you are getting. With freelancers you have to compromise on the face and body significantly to get a lower price. Still no performance guarantee. I have not ben so lucky with getting any really enjoyable freelancers that I want to repeat many times. Sometimes the experience was weak. Sometimes the body defects including baby damage put me off too much. Guess I am just too fussy about the looks.
