In February I'll be back in Cartagena for the first time since 2006, looking forward to seeing what's changed.
Reading these threads it seems a lot. A few of my old haunts still seem to be there but I've a feeling the vibe has been changed for the worse by all the new tourism.
Appreciate the intel on the latest scams people have taken the time to detail. Its the age old advice though. Stay sober, stay switched on and don't go to places off the beaten track.
Weird, I was living in Cartagena for 2-3 months and visited Androgeno plenty of times for an after party, never seen nothing shady like this going on, there is usually 100+ people in the place, this guy must of been resisting hard to paying the bill and maybe in a drugged state, I had issues like this in Mexican strip clubs, where they would overcharge your card without you even noticing and then ID just call the card company and reverse the whole charge, haha.

First time in the walled city. Intermediate Spanish. Been to Medellin and Bogota plenty.
Stayed in an rental in Boca Grande. Probably should have stayed in Gensemani if I could find a quiet place.
Piggy backing on Breeders report, I did a lot of the same. I talked to a number of chicas around the clock tower and most were pretty cold and didn't have much personality. I preferred to be in a bar or restaurant doing work.
Delirium and Dolce Vita were two of the same for me. Lots of beautiful women. Not big clubs at all. Not much smiling. Mostly on their phones and drinking cups of water. Tons and I mean tons of plastic booty and tetas. Not my thing.
Had the best night at Space club. Definitely more urban. Do not run up a tab there, always pay as you go. Took a chica home from there and we didn't even discuss money. $50. She came and saw me on my last night with me clearly telling her I wasnt looking to have company. Freebie.
Tinder was super hit and miss but after a lot of work I found a normal civilian and we headed off to the islands for a few days. Zero money given but of course I paid for pretty much everything. So there is still hope but I would say 15/20 chicas I talked to just vanished or stopped responding. They are looking for that quick $100-$200 sucker.
I never made it to the following but I am sure one of you fine gents will and report back.
El Paraiso Del Marino club. The touts in El Centro push this place hard. Taxis say its the better than the next one:
Chica Linda club. Confirmed through locals that its 150 COP to have a girl in here.
HOM Massage in centro is another local spot I heard about for extras.

Beach: I don't remember the exact price quoted but it was 200+/ HR. As recommended in ISG, found Tony. You can ask for Tony, or there is a chair that says 'Tony' on the back. Tony is slightly better than other pimps around.
Clock tower: The street walker marker starts after tourist leaves, like 8 pm or later. 50-100 girls. But all were quoting high prices, like 500/ HR. The cops starts to move away the market like around midnight, and in 1 HR everyone leaves the place. Both girls, and tourists. Even towards the end, the girls were still quoting high price. I got one girl's number and negotiated for 100/ HR for next day daytime through WhatsApp. I guess that's the best strategy to get value for session, if you are looking at 100/ HR. I left Cartagena soon, since Barranquilla is just 2 hrs away and offers good value at 100/ HR.
I decided to pull the trigger and book a trip for middle of April. Tickets from south Florida have not dropped below 500 $ direct flight. Gone are the 250-350 days 😭128557;. Luckily the apartment stays the same price.
Already let my regular know the dates so she can arrange to be there from Medellin herself.
Hope the peso doesn't go down any further. That closer to 5 k was looking nice. I am looking forward to it! Almost a full year since I was there.

Also, bring a burner phone and get a Colombian sim. It's a cheat code having a Colombian number. The prices get a lot more reasonable everywhere.

I am not sure if the Christmas crowds caused it but last time I was in CTG there were about a half dozen WGs near the Nao Mall on Carrera 2 in Bocagrande. I do not know prices because I do not do WGs, but I would think this spot may get more popular as it is closer to the tourist spots. No one was hassling the women either.
Honestly, having the WGs at the clock tower has to be an eye sore for the city. The clock tower area was an amazing sight at Christmas, and families and children were out in force.

It's just more spread out. Even better, a growing number of girls are renting rooms down there to make it even more accessible. In Laguito, Hollywood Beach Suites and a few others must have opened their doors to the trade because you'll see ladies advertising in calls there. And it makes a lot of sense. Tourists do not want to go to Pie de la Popa or Campestre where they stick out. It's a lot more safe and convenient. Very smart by the ladies.

A Vennie hooker from the Clock Tower stole my phone in the hotel, lost all my contacts, was in deep shit for a couple days. Lucky I had all hotels and flight bookings printed out on paper, also saved in my email, so I could continue my trip to other cities in Colombia and returned to the US.
A wingman did far worse taking a club girl back to his apartment. He got drugged, woke up the next morning the girl was gone, his wallet, money, phone, passport all stolen. The girl could have overdosed and killed him too. Lucky he had a wingman who bailed him out, but they had to go to US Embassy in Bogota and waited a couple days for emergency passport replacement. If you travel solo, you would be really fucked, stuck in a foreign country without money, phone, passport. Having hotels record the girls' IDs would be a layer of protection. Or take pics of them and their IDs and immediately upload them into cloud, just in case they steal your phone too hehe.
Looks like Colombia is rife with all kinds of criminals, ready to prey on sex tourists. Kidnap. Torture, extortion are serious terrorists' crimes. Policias won't do shit to investigate and prosecute crimes against mongers, knowing they will likely not coming back.
