Yea it seems ass backwards but that's just how it is some times.

I'll give you one hint of advice. Hang around the reception lobby of Cascadas for a few minutes and listen to the hotel staff when they talk to chicas on their way to the room with a client or on their way back down to the club with a client. The hotel guys and the chicas talk in Spanish to each other and most of the time they're talking pure shit about the client right in front of his face, literally. A chica might be in the lobby saying to the hotel guy "yea I'm about to milk this little tiny dick motherfucker for as much money as I can", and the hotel guys will laugh and make disrespectful comments about the customer in Spanish right in front of his face. Always keep in mind the HK staff and hotel Cascadas staff do not give one single fuck about you other than to extract as much money from you as quickly as possible.

Sat and drink with a couple girls in HK and Chavelas.

In my case I pissed them off using that limo back to the border giving them 2 dollar tips. I used it like 3 times in 10 days before I showed up outside at 7 am and the 3 of them just looked at me and said maybe later, and then I heard them say 2 dollar tip. I left took an uber for 2 dollars. You got to remember who we are dealing with at these places. I just finished up a trip to the Zona. I stayed at hotel Cascadas for a couple nights. The trip was mediocre at best and shit at worst. In particular I had 2 sessions with complete putas. One of them was terrible, I don't even want to think about it. Demanded $100 then got butthurt that I only paid $80. Man this is exactly the stuff I want to avoid and hate dealing with in the states!

And most of all, going to HK is a waste of time. I would rather jerk off to internet porn. I go to HK and visit working girls to have fun. I agree with the 7's and 8's. While I have had 9's & 10's have a nice drink and flirt a bit. The higher the number I have had a few snobby and poor experiences with a few. Also the moreso's have been great in my experience. Sometimes they get a bit busy and at times I have had them promise some things that didn't pan out. But overall very good experiences.

Some people are recommending only taking taxis. Others recommend not using marked taxis and sticking to Uber. HK advertises a VIP shuttle. For a group of two people (myself and a friend), which would be best for us?

Is the shuttle only for groups of 4+? Does it show up at the border at regular times or is it only reservations?

I'll give you a story that happened to me that taught me a lesson about "complaining" at Mexican strip clubs. Around 2010-2011 I was in Monterrey at a club called Woman Men's Club on Avenida Lincoln. It's a club kinda off the beaten path, a place where you would never ever ever see a gringo. I was with a local buddy and they had a drink special going 2 x 1 vampiros. A vampiro is a drink made with tequila and some red colored liqueur, they're pretty cool actually. Me and my buddy were in there partying out ordering round after round and I had an absolutely drop dead gorgeous tall 19 year old chica sitting on my lap. Well after a few rounds of vampiros I noticed I didn't feel drunk at all, like as if there was no actual tequila in the drinks. So when the mesero came back I chewed his ass out telling him what the hell is this shit dude!? I've drank like five of these vampiros and I don't even feel a buzz. Put some damn alcohol in the glass. So he comes back with another round and as I'm chugging my drink I start feeling super weird, I started seeing double vision and just felt like something seriously wasn't right. In the US you can get away with complaining and behaving like an entitled jackazz. I've worked in bars and restaurants and our policy has always been "the customer is always right". If a customer is pissed off and being rude we always apologize and jump through hoops to satisfy him and make sure he's happy and satisfied. We go get a manager and the manager goes over and kisses the customers ass, maybe even gives him a free meal and begs for forgiveness. That is not how it works in Mexico. Please understand that. That same club just a couple weeks after I was there some cartel thugs threw freaking grenades in the entrance and killed a couple people. Hell if I would've died that night from whatever poisonous chemical they put in my drink do you think anybody from that establishment would've gave a damn? Hell no. The cops wouldn't have gave a damn. My family wouldn't have been able to sue for damages. As a patron or paying customer in the US you are somewhat important and can expect a certain level of respect and entitlement. In Mexico you ain't shit. I'm sorry but that's just how it is, you seriously ain't shit to those people. Don't ever forget that. I know I won't ever forget it.

If you are walking in you may find it waiting right where the path takes a turn, way before you get to the street. If its not there, not worth waiting take a $5 taxi. I feel pretty silly taking that big ass limo when its only me, but they have no problem with it.

Going back to the border its the only way to go. Just approach the valet stand in front of HK and tell them you want the shuttle to the border. If its only one person no problem. Taking a taxi back to the border, this has been when the police have been conducting shakedowns of taxis returning to the border from zona norte. While the shuttle service is free be sure to tip your driver.

If he calls you cheap, give him the universal middle finger which means that you want to fuck his daughters in the ass. And he will love you for it.
