FKK Palace - Frankfurt

guess here I can help.

Public transport in the Rhein-Main area (incl. Frankfurt/Main) is managed by an organisation called RMV (in German Rhein-Main Verkehrsverbund).

The web page is [url]www.rmv.de[/url] and available in German, English, French, Italian, and Spanish.

Ticket machines accept both notes and coins and give information if they can not change.

I have not followed in greater detail your question, but ? 3,75 is never ever for round trip, I guess.

There is a so called day-ticket, allowing as much travel as you want within a day and seems to me to be a good deal.

Main stations are Hauptwache and Konstablerwache.

Make sure you have the right ticket, there is quite some controll inside the tube and having no ticket will be fined with up to 60 EUR.

Just reading on many sites that the so called ticket 'Einzelfahrkarte' (one time, one way) is NOT applicable for the travel to Airport, as it falls in some different zone.

Also the day ticket 'Tageskarte', is NOT applicable for travel to airport. Only weekly ticket - 'Wochenkarte' aloows the travel to airport.

Is this true? If I buy a day pass, that is Tageskarte, should I buy a separate ticket for the travel by S-Bahn (from Hauptwache) till airport (to Flughafen)?

I think you are not talking of the day ticket 'Tageskarte' (which does not include airport), but talking of Frankfurt Card, which includes airport, and other zones also?

Macho Mad-- If you buy a ticket at the airport to Frankfurt, it will be from fare zone 5090 (the airport) to fare zone 5000 Frankfurt city (the 5000 is often shortened to 50). A single trip ticket (einzelfahrkarte) allows you to take one direct trip from the airport to fare zone 50 (which includes the Palace) and costs 3.30 Euro. A day ticket (tageskarte) allows you to ride all day between the airport and the city and costs 7.40 Euro. The fare zone for the city IS different from the airport but this does not mean you need separate tickets to travel from the airport to the city and then another ticket to travel around the city. The ticket will cost a little more but you only need ONE ticket.

Got to Palace at about 9:15pm, it was quite slow, not many men and most of the girls congregating on the couches near the Harley. Got approached by a few girls, but nothing took my fancy so just sat and chilled watching all of those lovely asses passing by.

after visiting oase on friday (see report in oase forum) i passed thru frankfurt again on wednesday evening and opted for palace to see what it was like and because the hour was late. took the s bahn to hbf and stopped off to see what the rld was like. very low life compared to oase so hopped on the u bahn and got off at industriehof. went thru the opening in the wall and then up the road and presto, there it was. arrived about 10 p.m.

like oase, the staff was courteous and efficient, asking me if was my first time, explaining the rules and showing where the wallet lockers and main locker room were located. paid my 665 euro, went in, showered and grabbed a towel and flip flops.

Rent a car. It is more convenient and not necessarily that much more expensive for a party of three. Make the order on internet in advance for the best deals. The standard cost is EUR 50- 80 for a small/medium car, but if you do it in advance it could get as low as EUR 25- 30. Split between three it would then be EUR 15- 30 each (including gasoline), which should be acceptable.

The bus from Hahn to Haupbahnhof in downtown Frankfurt will cost EUR 12 each. It takes 1h45mnts (a car with GPS will save you time). From Hbhf to Palace I would take a cab (EUR 10- 12), i.e. total cost of EUR 45- 50, or EUR 15- 16 each.

Just remember to bring enough cash once inside the Palace building. I always tend to spend more money than planned there ... Is it just me? ;-)

... but I normally leave with a huge smile on my face anyway.
