Most girls or women on FC are pretty well aware of what is going on. The key is to have patience. The thing is, there are a lot of guys out there. You have to cultivate your resource. The ones that are too pretty (photos looking like from a Vogue magazine) are more than likely to be scammers. Here are some pointers:

1. FC is not free. You have to pay to communicate with someone. A lot of women here are a little bit older and you tend to find them a little wiser.

2. If it is too good to be true, then that is a big red flag.

3. If the gal is very pretty, then a lot of guys are going to hit on her. Think about that blue eyed, blonde, Scandinavian hitting on her. Try, but don't waste your time on them. She will just string you along.

4. If you are not traveling to a place where you can meet her, then don't send tickets for them to come see you in Manila. Never going to happen. Plus logistics to this type of operation is always complicated.

11. If someone is dead in the family. This will lead to asking for money. Block.

13. Most women in Manila are pretty wised up now, to all the things that go on in FC. If you find a girl outside of Manila, you could get lucky with "pretty and nice". But you should be willing to travel.

14. Patience is the key. I have found good ones. But you got to have a conversation, become friends, before you get to the next step.

15. The letter Z, stand for Zamboanga. It is in Mindanao. Not all are Muslims. And you can find some pretty girls there. But be willing to go there to the South. If you stand out in the crowd to be mugged, then not an option for you.

I use the filters to weed out a lot of the scammers who are not in the Phils. The scammers who are there tend to be from MNL and Mindanao (Zamboanga) and usually you can tell from their messages right away what their game is (they often give and / or ask for your email or personal contact info in their first message, which tends to be one long para). And despite mentioning that I'm only interested in meeting girls from a specific geographic region I still get interests and messages from girls well outside that area; plus the usual fatties and grannies. All, I repeat all, of them I simply delete and many of the obvious scammers I also block.
