I love seeing a good terma girl outside the "office" and spend a full day and night with them. This is now my preferred action when in Rio. How do I do it you might wonder. Short version is that I pay them well.

The long story is that I have been a regular at a certain terma for more than a decade so I know many of the long term girls there well. The reality and truth of the matter is, and I appreciate your sarcastic tone-it is funny-I already spoke French before I came to Brazil so it was easier to pick up as the verbs are similar bar the endings.

The first trip was great but also hard in the sense that we got gringoes a few times but I'm mixed so don't look like a tourist and I vowed never to return unless I made an effort to learn the language. I speak pretty much fluently now but not with the same vocabulary as someone who was born there but I do pick up quickly. I speak 5.

I had a portuguese teacher on Skype 4 x a week and I spoke to various girls I met on Skype as best I could.

It has been a monumental effort but it can be done.

The portugues language being very similar, made it much easier to learn.

The accent is definitely different, but comes with practice.

Now when I visit Colombia and speak spanish, the locals ask me if I'm Brazillian cause my spanish comes out with a portugues accent, LOL.
