I continuously figure out all alternative new ways to monger, but hell here is a nightmare.

Girls at lobby of my hotel at Pudong nighttime ask 1500 or 2000, and if at least I could be assured I get a decent service....
BUT NO.
HELL they upsell in room, want money first, offer HJ for all that money, etc.
A friend paid 1000 and got HJ.

And I'the be surprised if a hotel spa will have a line-up. Management likely is going to pretend they are a legit spa just for show, especially during the current crackdown. And, in the massage rooms, the girl may be afraid of being caught offering more than a hand job, and if she is willing to offer more, then it'll be with her clothes half on and probably only mish and will try to rush you. In your room, she'll be a lot more comfortable. But again, don't expect a great GFE session with a girl 8. It'll likely be with a mid-thirties 3, and cost a ton. It is what it is. And at the same time they are investigating the accounting of all leisure companies no matter what service they provide to find possible illegal activities from money lundering, shadow banking, etc.

Another source told me the current trade war between US / China has increased the tensions inside the party and a good way to keep people in line is to turn off the tap of cash from yellow & black activities (sex trade, shadow banking, etc.).

Therefore it may stop in July just like it may continue for quite some time, nobody knows. A legit huge high end spa I know of is closed till June 25th in their Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang locations but still open in Guangdong. Indeed, my last night in Shanghai was a different one, but not as I planned it to be.

For my last night, once finished my business in Pudong, I moved to a hotel near People's Park. I planned to go to a very good restaurant recommended me by the concierge of my first hotel.

It is about 10 minutes from People's Park, so I left my hotel around 20:30. That taxi driver I found was a total idiot. He took me from People's Park to my previous hotel in Pudong (30 minutes driving time) instead of taking me to the restaurant, because he saw the heading on top of the paper where the concierge wrote address and name of the restaurant (which was the main largest thing printed there). I shouted at him and he did not understand why, until the valet of the hotel explained him. Then, 40 more minutes to go the restaurant, which was just 10 minutes from the starting point.

I arrived there at 21.45, to find it lonely and with kitchen closed. The boys at restaurant did not speak a single word of English, but with Google Translate they could help me to find a place to eat. I asked a place open till late for crayfish. They also called a taxi for me.

The new place was in a very lively area full of places to eat, open till midnight or so. The place where I was recommended to go was the busiest. Very very good! A huge plate of crayfish for 158 or so.

I started to talk with a girl accompanied by another girl. I immediately understood they were a lesbian couple. First time I meet here someone so friendly who wants to talk to me in Shanghai.

They proposed to take me to "Found 158", which I discovered is a very trendy area with many western-style bars. We had a lot of fun in a latin bar with latin music. 60% western and 40% chinese. I was mouth-watering for the crowd of sexy chinese (even blond) girls on high heels. Mouth-watering, but not regretting I was with the two, because I knew the sexy Chinese were out of my reach (next time I should drive there with a Lamborghini, and my experience would be probably different).

We did not no anything besides holding hands and dancing keeping the feminine of the two in the middle, but however what else I could do in Shanghai? We left the bar at 2:45.

This was my only night of fun in a week of work and business here. Shit!

At night, there are from 3 to 7 ladies loitering in the lobby or outside entrance area of the 5-start hotel in Pudong where I stayed for one week. I have some empirical samples to share. Based on that, my recommendation to anyone new is: AVOID.

1) A friend of mine, an old man but still somehow naive, took one of them to his room. 1000Y to get just a HJ, in spite of much more promised. I guess he was even lucky to not be cheated more or stolen.

We exchanged Wechat IDs and I left her (too many colleagues attending my same event going around in lobby even at late hours).

We had some 2 days of conversation on Wechat, by means of the Wechat translator (imagine the depth of conversation). This made me think she looked somehow reliable, so a night I told her to wait me outside the hotel, I gave her my card, and I waited her in my room.

She came up accompanied by a third girl, who was with her in the garden. I simply said "Hello," and "bye" to the two, respectively, and I closed the door on the face of the unwanted second guest.

Then, we started an extenuating negotiation about money first or after. She looked sincerely worried I could not pay her. At the end, I took my 800, put them in the drawer, then told her to start massage or leave.

3) Place 3.

Men or ladies asking you for "lady massage" are most probably scum. If it is a man I ask him to bring me the lady there to see her, if it is a girl I say her I want to take her to my room. Usually they leave me alone after that. A friend of my get caught and spend a lot of money (cannot remember how much. Something like 6000 yuan or the like). Luckily so far I found a lot of nice people here and until few months ago also a lot of fun. Hope that after this holiday things go back to normality otherwise I will ask to be moved somewhere else.
