Thing was I'd already had four at the bar and was buzzed and tired and strongly thinking of leaving so I took it as a message from the universe. On the way out I scolded the manager for about three minutes about his treatment of the customers and said I would post about it. He was profusely apologetic, but I doubt it made any difference in the behavior of the security goon.

There have been times where I ordered a beer and didn't take one sip. I just bought it so that I wouldn't look like a deadbeat, plus I feel like I owe them at least something for being in their club. Other times I've bought water or a soda. One hint if you keep moving and don't stay in one spot too long nobody will bother you to buy a drink. HK is big enough you can kinda keep moving from one area to another. You can't really do that in the other clubs because they're much smaller spaces than HK.
