Service and tipping is a new concept in Medellin and in the El Poblado area they are slowly making this transition. Most upper class locals tip 0-1k for deliveries. 5-10% at restaurants, and pay exact amounts to cab drivers.

I tip 2k-5k to porterias for basic things or for deliveries. 15% in restaurants, and cabs 500 pesos to 1k. I receive extremely warm, genuine responses from tipping in Medellin and it gives me the reinforcement to continue doing so.

But the idea is that the armed guards only let people into the building after the non resident guest tells him whom they are going to visit and what apartment they intend to go to. Then the guard calls the particular apartment and if the person is home and says it is OK to let them up. Then and only then is the person is allowed into the building and asked to show I'd.

You can also set it up so the guard calls you up and asks if it is OK to let the person leave the building as well.

Can someone tell me in which streets of the center there are girls at night?

I am here to report on the guys having fun in Medellin with Colombia Jake, not give away information. There are plenty of guys to do that, so Eric after being stationed in Iraq for almost 2 years needed an emergency $2,000 visa just to get out of there for weird reasons nobody knows, arrived with a lot of pent up demand so we set out to quench that fire, so the first day or two we hit the centro casas. He had been working several chica websites as well so he had options. His days have been full of action and fun just the way you hope it will!

Roy arrived and wanted to experience all the centro casas and this time of year its by far the best, for being able to have an experience in each and just about every one. Invited over a cute chica today for him they hit it off and tomorrow their going out for a night on the town. This is the part that makes a stay here so much fun and adds the girlfriend type date experience which so many of you guys are so in need of and thankful for. Happy to help!

After you pass the strip bars (first you'll pass Ejecutivo, then Hilton Bar) , you will see some street girls. Even more so on some of the side streets off of DeGrieff. I've seen some quite attractive ones. Please note, this is not for the easily scared. After dark, this area can be pretty dicey.

I'm sure there are other areas also.

I'm sure there are other areas also.[/QUOTE]Calle 53 is Maracaibo. It's the area near the museum (Museo de Antioquia) and there are a number of other strip clubs where the girls are around $20 USD as well. I have seen just OK talent there and yes it is lacking in ambiance hahaha.

Hey I'm going to medllin for work for a few days starting the 16th and then am there till the 2nd of jan. Looking for some help, where would be some good places to go? Are girls easy there? Is not speaking Spanish going to be a problem.

Never been to this area of the world, so any help would be appreciated.

Then visit the sister thread on the Medellin List to see the locations and prices. That is the BEST ADVICE any of us can offer you. There are massage parlors, strip clubs, disco's, etc. For you to visit. You can even walk around the centro or one of the major malls and practically trip over a girl that would be interested in a night out for dinner and then some quality time. Don't be obnoxious or arrogant. Be friendly, polite, and act like you have some sense about yourself. Girls don't pay for their dinner or drinks so expect to pay. They may even ask for taxi money and it's ok to give her 20k pesos to be nice. Check out Energy, New Life, Face Dos, Liquid Lounge, and a number of other places. Spend some time reading. It will answer all of your questions. Have fun and be safe

Why are you guys talking to journalist about "this thing of ours"? It's almost akin to a snitch talking to the cops!

We had the exact address of the apartment written down for taxi drivers. The address includes the cross street. There was also a landmark written down but it is something that doesn't currently exist (a tomato field) because at the moment there is no good landmark nearby so only older drivers familiar with the area would recognize it.

My advice stands. It was not to be in Parque Lleras but within easy walking distance of it (5 blocks would be fine). The advice is to be near El Poblado, the street, because it has lots of landmarks and at worse you won't have to walk too far up the hill from it.

Pretty cool that he's in his 60's and living a healthy lifestyle. Especially the constant sex. I dread the day I turn 40 but I have another few years. I'm not at the point to have the need to pop any pills to keep it going. But I know eventually it might happen. Sounds like his place in Key West is quite the bachelor pad. Trek on Cubadave.
