I was in El Nido last month. There is a disco in the middle of the beach road. Went in for a couple of hours on a Saturday night. 15-20 girls there of variable quality. At least half of them appeared to be freelancers, judging by eye contact and smiles.

I have been told there is a girlie bar in the area. If true, any trike driver will know it. I was there with my girlfriend, so I did not check.

An unusual invitation here for anyone planning a trip to Puerto Princesa, Palawan in the near future.

One of the girls I met there earlier this year is a slim, tall, rather shapely and attractive 25 year old without kids. She is a little different from the norm because she is a deaf mute. She communicates mostly by typing into a very old and battered mobile phone.

I will actually be in Palawan Dec 30-Jan 2 and travel to Sebang for Jan 2-4. Fly into Manila Dec 29 and out Jan 5 on the Nagoya-Manila Delta express!

I have used the ISG forums for my trips to Hong Kong / Macau and all around Japan to great success. Unfortunately the last 2 times to the PI was with my Filipino GF so she kept me entertained while in Puerto Gallera, Manila, and Boracay. I am all for making new friends now that she is behind me.

What can I say. I love the Philippines. Great food, weather, women, and sights!

[/QUOTE]You will probably be aware that the main attraction in and around Puerto Princesa is to take a day trip to the islands in Honda Bay. In good weather these are stunningly beautiful little islets. The boat station is about 15km outside town. A Trike wil take you there for about 150P-200P . They start off higher. The boats take 8-12 people and cost 800P-1200P from memory divided between the passengers. They will ask 100P for a mask and 100P for flippers, flippers are pretty pointless as it's shallow water. What I tend to do is to take 5-6 sexy girls in bikinis (130P from NCCP dept store in PP, second floor for nice skimpy sexy ones) out there and have a boat to ourselves. For obvious reasons LOL. If you have a nice group of girls who like taking pics as they pretty much all do in Phils, and you get a nice day, you will think you have died and gone to heaven. Best not to tempt fate though, one of my girls in Cebu went island hoping with a group of Singapore biz guys last month. Apparently one of them was so happy that he said something along the lines of this was the best time of his life and if he died then and there he would die contented. Later that afternoon they found him floating around dead from a heart attack.

If you hit DIA / tagged you will fairly easily find contacts who will certainly be up for a free boat trip. However in general Palawan girls are much more conservative than girls in Manila / Cebu / Angeles and it can be challenging to find open minded girls. There is alot of "bait and switch" ie promising unlimited sex only to find excuses and " I meant once we were married" etc. There are a bunch of somewhat second rate bars around town where you can get bar girls, but generally not such high quality ones, the cuties who opt for that work generally go to AC / Manila / Cebu etc.

I've spent 3 months or so in Palawan over the last couple of years and made a few really nice, sexy and open minded friends there and am prepared to help out (if I'm not there at the time you are going) but only to decent guys who I can trust will treat the girls well, use condoms etc (fed up with guys whose attitude is "I'm a clean respectable guy so you don't have to use a condom with me", then she picks up an STD because he had bare backed 5 bar girls during the last week)

White beach, you get the odd girl, who you can chat up, but is a far cry from the image of girls waiting and sunbathing. Just to be collected by punters.

Some details of my trip.

I will be traveling from Nagoya. Manila Dec 29 with my good friend and his Malayasian GF.

I am the 3rd wheel and if course need to rectify that as I broke up with my Manila GF who traveled with me before. FYI we are in contact still for regular visits it's just a fun needs based arrangement.

Dec 30. Manila.Puerto Princesa early: explore city and visit locals / fishing village and the like.

Dec 31. Morning or half day trip to visit the local waterfalls and enjoy nature. Find some place to enjoy New Years and hope to bring it in with a BANG! Any recommendations? Good parties and thr like?

Jan 1-island hoping around Honda bay.

Jan 2-travel to Sebang and try the resort experience. Hopefully do the underground river and jungle trek this day. Enjoy the resort!

Jan 3-mangrove tour and caving / nature experience.

Jan 4-head back to PP and catch last flight out to Manila. Enjoy a night out at greenbrier or in the casino waiting till 4am to head to the airport.

Jan 5-back to Nagoya.

I am actually going to Palawan to enjoy the beauty of the island first with the hope of making some great friends and long lasting memories in the process. All the while avoiding the odd man out syndrome if possible. Oh yeah and enjoying some of the best seafood in my life!

So Greglondon if any of your friends would enjoy spending time with these activities, acting as a guide or just able to keep me from getting hustled to much I would appreciate it. My pm should be working soon so I will be able to discuss these matters privately.

It seems that you are an arch skeptic. Fine don't have anything to do with these girls. But you should explain to people what the basis of your skepticism is.

For example:

1 Have you personally met any of the girls that I have recommended or had any negative experiences whatsoever with them? As far as I can recall you have not requested contact details from any of them or had anything to do with them. Correct me if this is wrong?

2 Are you basing your skepticism on the general intuition that nobody ever helps anyone for no personal gain type reasoning? Fine, you can choose to live your life by such reasoning, you should thereby protect yourself from ever being scammed, but may also lose interesting opportunities because you are too cynical.

3 Are you basing your views on a character assassination conducted by "Gen" a month or two ago on one of the 5 or 6 girls that I have introduced to him and that he has spent the bulk of his time over the last 4 months or so with? As I explained at the time "Gen" was being what we in England call "economical with the truth" in his account of the matter for his own, in my view dishonourable reasons.

Here is some info on Port Barton, Palawan located about 1/2 way between Puerto Princessa and El Nido. I took a side trip here on my way to El Nido and ended up canceling my plans to El Nido and stayed 9 days here.

Port Barton is a quiet little fishing town that does not get alot of tourists because of the difficult dirt access road from the main interstate. The road has been patched up with cement in a few bad areas that became mud pits when it would rain but is now passable by car when dry but would require a 4-wheel drive when it is wet.

We stayed in what seemed to be the best resort in the area named Deep Gold located on the beach front in the center of the bay. Our beach front cottage cost 1000P a night and they do not accept credit cards so bring enough pesos with you if you stop here. If you run out of Pesos you can change your US dollars at a local store at a lower exchange rate.

The power in town only goes on from 5:30 PM to 12 midnight or longer and the Resort does have Wifi internet that can be accessed from the Restaurant / Bar or from some of the closser cottages.

The water in the bay was clean, clear and smooth like glass most of the time. There are many nice Islands and snorkeling spots that one of the many Boatman will take you to from 800P to 1000P for the day. There are also two different local Dive Shops and I understand the Diving is good at the outer reef.

No nightlife here so bring your own babe.
