I stay in Casa Marina.
Can I take a girl to my room?
Absolutely NOT. Where do you THINK you're at DOMINICAN REPUBLIC?
Don't even THINK ABOUT IT. And make sure you EAT all your VEGGIES! And your curfew is 6:30pm on weekdays, and 6:35pm, on weekends. Or your GROUNDED. Lmao!
Ooh OK, cool. Well here are the prices so don't know if they changed?
This place will not be open much longer after their last little stunt.
Not sure I agree with you. A boycott of CMP by the members of two w h o r e
boards still represents a very small percentage of visitors to Pedro Clisante.

I think we have had enough fun at the poor OP's expense. Someone please give him a straight answer to his question. I could, but it is better coming from a Sosua expert.

Can I take a girl to my room?
If she is a guest at the hotel, yes no problem, or if she registers at the hotel with you. Or maybe even if she is an employee. Can you bring a prostitute off the street to your room there? No. You might try the Dulce Secreto cabanas (easily located by motoconcho) which are very nice. The executive suites are about 900 pesos and have a jacuzzi, lots of mirrors so you can reflect on what you are doing, and are air conditioned.
I guess I missed something. Why would the members of this forum boycott the chicas from CMP?
Because a well respected ex-pat business owner in Sosua was ripped off, beaten, arrested and shook down by the management and staff of CMP. It has been suggested that members of this board and eye-sock do not support such a business.
Supposedly the guy was charged 5700 pesos for 300 peso of drinks. He is well known expat. This makes no sence. There has to be more to the story. You can pay 5700 for 2 chicas there. I think there has got to be more going on then we know. Hearing only one side is nver enough.

The 5700 pesos was the amount he paid to the fiscal after he was arrested, this was what was needed to stop it going before a judge. There are other angles to this story and the ex-pat involved had some history with CMP which may have contributed to the situation.

Can you describe where Dulce Secreto is? I was looking for it on my last visit but couldn't find it. It sounds like a great option for those
(like me) who are a bit hesitant to bring girls back to their place.
I have been going to Sosua for 5 years and have known or worked with people in the DR way before that. The first thing I want to say is that only a moron would say that the people in the DR think of sex tourists as scum and wish they would go away. The men in that country are mostly doing the same thing we are.
As long as we are friends they don't care about our purpose. I think people can't understand that the attitude towards P4P and sex is far different in every democracy in the world than it is in the US. If you read history you'll know why.
The crackdown in Sosua came about for several reason that have never been dicussed here. So did the end of the crackdown. The first thing the crackdown proved is that yes Sosua is dependent on P4P as the current situation stands and it's going to take much to change that. This is not true in most of the rest of the country. But what most people from the US don't understand is that most people in the DR, as most other democracies, don't care about P4P one way or the other. It's been around forever. If the DR did get rid of P4P it would not be because of the people in the DR, it would be because of pressure from groups in the US.
As for that crackdown itself I think Soaua is far better now and it is certaily far safer. The riff-raff and minors are mostly gone. The chica scene has returned to the beach and the beach merchants are doing much better. There is still some politur action residue from the crackdown but that's generally for a specific case.
The mongers are back and the town is thriving as well as it can thrive.
I'm not here for a history lesson but would like a brief update of the crackdown and when it ended. Here is why:
I am an old timer but have only been to the DR twice. The first time was in 1993. There was loads of action in Sosua and Santo Domingo. The Pyramid Disco (I think that was the name) in Sosua in '93 was terrific and had loads and loads of available girls. There was also the Moby Dick Disco. Other bars too, but those 2 discos were the main attractions. I returned to the DR for my second and final trip in 1999 or 2000 or around then. The scene in Sosua was greatly reduced. There were a few bars with girls, but nothing like my first trip. Someone told me that the cops had cracked down 3 or 4 years before, which would make it the late 90's. Even Santo Domingo had much less action than on my first visit.
I was pleasantly surprised to read on this board that the action is back in Sosua, so I am planning to go there this Fall. I had assumed that the crackdown was still in effect, which I see now is not true.
Could anyone update me briefly about the crackdown. About when did the crackdown start and end, and the reasons for starting and ending it. This is not of great importance, but I am just curious.
Yo Deep why waste your breath. You can obviously see this dude was dropped as a child. Hes posting like a retarded Flavor Flav on crack.
