Came to town on a short business trip and wanted to organize some options beforehand. I had been chatting with a couple of girls from NLO and decided to go w / MiMi. It was really easy to communicate and organize a meet up. I don't have much experience and was worried about how things would go in China reading up on all of LE's recent efforts and Wechat stuff but wasn't an issue at all. I'll keep reading how things progress before my next visit but will likely use their service again in the future. Girls are true to form and had a great time w / Mimi.

So you have the luxury to explore. Ever since the MPs have reopened, I have walked into over a dozen. You can quickly tell if it's legit (for example, the menu might include ear cleaning, all the women look like Shrek, and the most expensive massage is 68 kuai), and if that's not what you want, then walk out. I've gotten serviced at 6 different places so far. But nothing worth reporting about. Massage prices ranged from 398 to 888. Extra services ranged from mechanical HJ for 300 tip with zero roaming, to something BARELY naughtier for 500 tip. My experiences were all blah, or ridiculously stupid expensive. Today, I had a lot of free time, and I didn't even bother going to an MP, even though I was bored as hell.

Two of my providers are under orders not to provide he, at least for now. Makes it hard to pay the back rent incurred during the crackdown, as much as 30,000: rmb per month. One was told no he or even use of the showers in April, before the main crackdown. Of course old customers may be accommodated or offered takeout.

It's great that we can talk and make arrangements with the girls directly. NLO has become a bit of game changer, IMHO. The girls are independent, and the profiles are real. And some girls have a rate of 1200 for FS, which is obviously better than paying 800-1000 for a massage and HJ. To NLO's credit, he even publishes slightly negative reviews and addresses them with the girl.

And besides, there is no longer any massage room without a window now. So even when girls give HJs, they are nervous.

The provider will get 30 rmb from the 100 price increase. The gals in Jingan were getting 130 out of the former 238 house fee. There will be a shakeout with closures even if the ban is lifted. Rents and inflation take a toll.

There's a new girl on NightLife (see classifieds). Her name is Linda. Met her for an afternoon delight. Had a great time. Very sweet. And great T and A. And the 1200 price makes her a bargain.

Today I planned to go but then just changed my mind. Cannot believe that! And I think too now NLO is the go-go. I have to find an hourly hotel because I have issues to use my apt.

They have a spa menu and massage menu. For a HJ, you have to order from the spa menu. Cheapest option is 600. For an okay HJ, girl may ask for 1000 tip if you are obviously a foreigner, but will always finally agree to 500. If you say no to 500, they sometimes do not care and will let you walk away, believe it or not. I am able to get some down to 300, but most of the time they do not allow roaming. Obviously, most of their guests are from the hotel, and tourists way overpay because they do not know the drill or are nervous. Girls there are 5's and 6's, Near to the Crowne, on 390 Panyu, there is a Fuquan. Again, order from spa menu. Cheapest option is 400. Tip is 300 for a mechanical HJ that lasts for 2 minutes. Girls there are 3's and maybe some 5's. The main perk about this place is that they have showers in the room. I've been to the both since the reopening, but I haven't been back since because I decided it's not worth it. Also, I'm tired about haggling. The days of paying 268 with NO TIP for KB treatment at 78 Changshou Lu are long gone.

And I don't think foreigners are allowed the hourly access and rates anyway. However, there are plenty of other cheap hotels (such as Ji Hotel, 268 Motel, Ibis Hotel) that go for about 200-300 rmb for overnight stay. Surprisingly, the Highton Hotel next to the Hilton Hotel has an overnight rate of about 330, and it's a pretty good hotel, but the location sux because it's almost in the middle of nowhere. Finally, I wouldn't try asking the girls to book the ST hotel. These days, girls do not want to do it, because they do not want a bunch of ST hotel bookings on "their permanent record" and it's not 100% easy for us to sneak into these hotels because they are very small hotels. One time, when I snuck into one, the front desk called the room and asked me to register. (I guess they had nothing better to do than to watch their security cameras.) I said I did not have ID, and then they asked for a bribe. So, I just took off. Another time, I was simply stopped from entering (the person asked me for my room key, and I didn't have one, and then he asked me which room I was going to and I didn't reply, and so he told me to go away). What I do these days is book a 4 star hotel for several days that goes for around 300-500, and then I meet a couple of girls each day. I never sleep there. I do this maybe about once a month or once every two months. It's a mongering stay-cation, LOL.

I used to stay in the 268 Motel (I think it's a Ji Hotel now) near People's Square. But it is so small, and so I became a familiar face quickly. So I started using larger hotels, such as Highton. Sometimes I'll splurge and use a 5-star hotel. Most recently, I've been using Longmont, which goes for about 550/ night. It's a large hotel, so nobody pays any attention to anybody, so you can meet the girl on the 2nd floor or just waltz in together from the lobby. Nobody cares. My old MO was to book for 2 nights. On the first day, after I check in and pop a vitamin "see", I book two girls, one for early afternoon and one for late afternoon. Then go home for dinner. For the next day, I channel my inner Samcan and have 3 dates (morning, early afternoon, late afternoon), and then I check out of the hotel early, and go home for dinner (I will admit, however, that after the 1st date on the 2nd day, I usually am spent, and so I'll just swim in and workout and then check out). My MO lately is to spend that 2nd day with a "GF", who is usually an MP gal that will take the day off and spend it with me (but for 2000-3000 kuai, LOL), and that's bliss, man, just stay in bed all day, pleasure each other, nap, then go for round 2, nap or order room service, then maybe another round, or whatever, and then check out.

I usually book with the Trip app on my phone, and so I can pay with WeChat on my phone. No bank record. But one thing that I worry about, in the back of my mind, is that these hotel stays are all going on my "permanent record" with China's big brother.

I suspect you're probably safe with your hotel stays. In general, Chinese LE goes for low hanging fruit. With hotels, wechats and payment not linked to identify (at least not too closely), you're probably safe. It's why people park their bikes next to bikes with weaker locks. Crooks (and Chinese LE) go for the easy one. The guys they get in a raid or with evidence in wechat tied to their identity doc.

Problem is, it's just getting too expensive and cumbersome to monger in Shanghai, compared to any period in the city's history. I don't want to spend 100 bucks on an unnecessary hotel room just to stay in the game safely. At this point, it's just less work and worry to seduce ordinary Shanghai girls. So for the most.part, I'm now out.
