It is usually better to have someone else to go around the bars with and shoot the breeze instead of always looking for your next pleasure. Philippines is known for more of a GFE experience place so that's kind of bad on your part. Sometimes if your not having a good time, the women sense it and think you are not going to be nice and avoid making themselves fully available to you. I've been there and have loosened up.

Been a while since my last trip. What are the budget hotels and rates near fields these days? Or is everything higher price because of the season?

Also, is there anyway to travel down to the typhoon areas to do volunteer work?

It's about a 5 minute walk to the main strip and about 5 minutes to the perimeter bars as well. Nice friendly staff, rooms are clean and offer space. Not sure if all the rooms are like this but my rooms bathroom was hella cramped! Also, they were having some repairs done to a room next door and so the noise really irritated me during the day.

I doubt you can volunteer unless you belong to red cross. They will not allow any Tom, Dick and Harry to go volunteer unless you have lots of money and take things to distribute yourself.

Do not go there thinking you can bone those desperate poor girls who are already suffering.

I will be heading to AC from Makati during my stay next week. What is the best way to get there? How much should I expect to pay a cab driver if that is the way I go? I appreciate the insight.

Can use main building which is very nice rooms, or annexe which is not quite so nice rooms but bit more private; both got security guards on the door who will call you for clearance when your girl wants to leave. Suits me.

For the typhoon area, why don't you contribute to the collection and leave it to the pros to use it best?

I took a cab to the Swagman hotel and got on the Swagman bus, which takes you to your hotel in AC, cost around 600p as I recall, no need to book I would say, but you can find it online and check out times, about 4 trips a day I think. At a guess a cab would be around 2500 Makati to AC, but quicker of course.

Walk in, take an immediate right and you are at the bus counter. Pay your 600 php. If you're early have some breakfast. If afternoon, enjoy a drink. Jump on bus, throw your shit on the seat (s) behind the driver. Grab a seat.

When they come to collect tickets they will ask what hotel you are going to. If its easy enough for them, they'll drop you in front of your hotel. If not, a short block or two from your hotel. If it looks like its going to be a cluster * they might take you to Swaggy's AC and put you into a van that will take you directly to your hotel's front door.

Upon returning to Manila, depending on what hotel you are at, they will pick you up at the front door and take you to Swaggy's. Wait there for bus to go to Manila. I usually get there an hour early for breakfast. You're dropped off at Swaggy's in Manila. Another 600 php. Can't beat it for convenience. The cheap bastards will carry their luggage to a bus station, wait in the station, get off somewhere around AC and take a trike or a Jeepney.

I'm traveling for the first time to AC at the end of next December (if anyone wants to join for a beer just pm me). I was wondering if any of you guys knows if it is possible to use the swimming pool at the ABC hotel even if you don't have a room there. Thanks for the info.
