As Aquemini says, genuine girlfriends always pay half, even if they're poor, and even if they have sometimes done pragramma to top up their income. My girl would take me to cheap restaurants in Copa that most tourists would never notice, and insist on paying for both of us. My ex-wingman took it to a higher level - he moved in with a girl who would only go to posh places and wouldn't let him pay for a thing - ever. She funded their relationship out of alimony from a gringo she'd has a quick marriage with.
