I have a weird belief with. How much cash to carry. I kind of feel like I should carry more as if they stop me. And they get more money from me, perhaps they would be more app to be a little nicer to me and not harass me as much. Plus it gives you more bribe money or money to pay any fine they think up.
Any thoughts.
G.
If true, you are training the cops to target you and anyone that looks like you for a shakedown. Soon after, the word will get around, and criminals will be targeting you as well. You will be known as the Human ATM machine. So I don't think it is a good idea.

LOL. Do enjoy the feedback on this one! And would not be my first stupid idea or thing I have done. First of all. They don't know who I am and having never been shaken down "yet". They can't target me as for all they know. I have $20 bucks on me.
Rog. Do like your attitude though. To not be so afraid that you give into intimidation. BTW. I always bring with me a list of Mexican lawyers I can call if shit happens and I need a representative to help get my ass out of jail faster.
Along with the other stupid shit I do to try to mitigate risk. Here is the list from the US Embassy if anyone else wants to review it (bottom of web page. Link).

I never take offence to other folks perspectives. I have learned a ton from this forum related to Tijuana and just helps to make the trips down their more enjoyable and also safer by knowing others perspectives.
Thanks for sharing.

Getting Run Down
I know lots of clubs have promoters who yell and shout and maybe will even try to grab you as you walk by, but I had several bar / club promoters this last trip who ran after me to get me to go into their dead clubs with mediocre chicas.
All I got out of it is was a major scare and the cost of a ficha.

Here is the link to the list of Lawyers in Tijuana. It's a link from the US Embassy web site in Mexico.

Also thanks for tip about taking picture of hotel room receipt. I have not done the hotel thing yet but I do want to as I love Zona Norte but the whole Tijuana is a big ass playground and love to experience other stuff.
May go down this weekend for little more fun.
Goyo.
Hmmm I want to take some girls out drinking. So you can? There's no bar fine? Girls are okay with leaving as longs as their time is paid for? Is it easier to get them later in the night?
Just in case you are not familier with Capt. solo's style of writing fiction, here is the truth.
If you hit it off with the girl you may be able to keep her to yourself for an hour or so. It depends on how good the bar is
at keeping track of her on that particular night. If she is gone over an hour they will send a mesero with a bucket of lady beers for you to buy, if you want to keep her longer. One tactic is to give a wrong room number to the guy at the desk. This may work if the girl is in on it but will probably result in her getting in trouble with management.
While you can arrange to meet them on there break and go for dinner, it is far from just taking them from the club for a night of partying. If you want her to just leave for the night; yes there is a large bar fine. I believe what the Capt. Is trying to say is if you do hit it off with a BG get her number and you can arrange to take her out on her day off for a night of wild and crazy sex. He he he!

BastardFace is typical of stupid, ignorant losers, who cannot even spell, contradicting others without proofs!
Interesting to hear of the adventures in HK management! Like any business they try to do the best they can but at times they will have a few working at any bar who don't represent the experience they want the business to have. Customers can try to be a little forgiving at times.
One thing I can't change is when you bring a friend in the place, I really don't want the waiters to give me a big friendly Hello, when they recognize me. It's a bit embarrassing. And the friend realizes. This guy is down here a lot!
I don't know of any way around this but it happens.
As Baxter Slade said, it's best to understand that the fabulations of the resident Spinner of Tall Tales are just that.

It was like the Hop Sing Kettle calling the Pot black in broken English.

Old Chevyloser
Chevyloser is known for lunching crude personal attacks when he runs out of facts or reasons.
Chevyloser is so low he feels he's slighted by everyone in the bars and mistreated by the whole city.
So the loser wines and dines old, obese, ugly women and chalks them up as victories hehe.

Doesn't bitching about lunch belong in the food thread?
Lunching?
Doesn't bitching about lunch belong in the food thread?
In an attemp to translate. The only definition of lunching I could find.
Lunching. Gerund: Ancient chinese term meaning that someone is acting stupid or lame. Similar to "out to lunch". Also*.
Even though the definition does not appear to make any sense. (little does if you follow this poster) I do not believe it has anything to do with food.
