In reading this forum, and in links or hints provided herein, I ascertained that there were three good salons in town aside from Balthazar's. Last weekend I visited each, a cold and fruitless affair.
Tuk Tuk (Thorvald Meyersgate 66). The building, white, three stories, freestanding house, is entered through what looks to be a temporary lobby with fresh doorbells on the exterior.- none of which has a name. No way to know which bell goes to which suite. Had no phone number so.
Over to High Class (Gronlandsleiret 37). There is a black grill/gate with a big white 37 on it, leading to a courtyard. Five story building, greenish stucco. No bells or buzzers. "High Class" is clearly printed in two places behind the gate, one of which says "4th floor". Visited it twice in two days and the gate never opened, saw no foot traffic. No way to get in. Passers by did not invite small talk. Again, no phone. So, away. To
Atlas Gardent, at Knowsgate 8. That is a bit out of town on the 18 or 19 trams, and a short hike thereafter (Oslo Hospital stop). Big gray apartment block with all sorts of buzzers with names that looked quite legit, as did the folks who went in and out. Of course, no phone. No joy.
Oh, I did find a newspaper story by Googling "Sun Touch". They were busted a while back. Same fate with these, but less publicity?
There has to be more than Balthazar's Boudoire and Noad Thai Salong in Oslo!
