Afterwards I was off to Nguyen Hoang Ton – and here there were, at least 10 Café Tam Quat more or less in a row. However I was too early since I could see through the typical blue and white curtains that there were hardly any girls inside.

In PVD, however, business was up and running already. Around ten houses open with sometimes several girls enthusiastically waving as I cruised by. Couple of updates: 28 Hang Chuoi was great a few years ago but not now. 66 Giang Vo (or 60?) is often closed but I found it open the other day and had a good time! Worth a visit. That street by Ciputra with the 10 BJ cages is always open, you just have to go in. At lunchtime they sleep, but they'll wake up soon enough for 200k BJ. I'm intrigued by your idea to go beyond the beaten path away from the rich expats (and even richer Vietnamese) in Hanoi. However, I'm a little hesitant to make the trip to Bac Ninh whithout knowing where to go there – expecially since the other guy couldn't find it (even having a VN driver).

It would be greatly appreciated if you could post more details with respect to the location I promise to post a Google-Maps link as soon as I will be going there!

There are a half dozen or more fairly new Tam Quat on the main road running along the rail road tracks from the area where the Media Markt and the auto dealers are located to the toll road that take you to Halong Bay. It seems a long way to go for some action.
