Sao Paulo Reports

São Paulo is not per se a destination for hobbying.

The city is gigantic and contrary to Rio or others cities that attract tourists (either in Brazil or elsewhere in the world) there are no definite district where attractive and safe sexual activities are concentrated. For severeal years, there was Boca do Lixo or a part of Rua Augusta that could serve as a gravity center for hobbyists. But this is no more the truth. Rua Augusta is cheap (in terms of garotas and installations) and not especially safe.

This being said, I still prefer São Paulo to any other destination in the world because here I can find what I'm looking for: good restaurants, a rich cultural life, plenty of bookstores or sebo (second-hand books) where I can find and buy books that are either rare or out of print and that at a fair price. The are also good quality stores, an hectic night life where it's quite easy to meet non-pros. If you want to spend the week-end at the beach, in less than an hour, you're there (not on the hollydays: it may take up to 8 hours to complete the distance between São Paulo and Santos, a 45 minutes ride in normal time).

In terms of hobbying, I believe that São Paulo is for connaisseurs, those with a knowledge of the city, the language, the culture, those who have contacts, etc. If not, this city may be a big monster ready to swallow you.

As Prosal wrote under, people are generally polite (and honest) in São Paulo. Prosal is habitually very critical of Brazil; he wouldn't have said that if it were not the truth. (São Paulo was among the finalists of the most corteous cities of the wolrd two or three years ago).

This is still Brazil; they probably won't be ready for the Mundial and the Olympics. There are some talks concerning Morumbi stadium (selected among the stadiums to present some games in the Mundial) : it seems that the stadium is unfit and that they won't be able to make the correction before the Mundial. This is São Paulo; an « ugly beauty ».

Morumbi is not adequate for the world cup. They plan to build a new stadium in Itaquera, which will be owned by Corinthians F. C. This new stadium will host the opening game of the world cup. The venues for group games have not yet been finalised, the final will be at a heavily refurbished Maracana in Rio.

Guess Morumbi will continue to be used as it is today. Don't know what will happen to Pacaembu, the present home of Corinthians.

I know much more about mongering in Rio than Sao Paulo. I only know about football in SP!

The key to enjoying Sao Paolo or any destination in the world for that matter is research. IMHO it all depends on the person and how much time is he really willing to put forth into researching the places he's willing to go. When I started visiting Brazil, I used to have about 5 pages of maps, quotes, maps, routes for each place I was willing to give a try. Once I got a good idea of the lay of the land after a few years of travel, guess what? I still do!

Sao Paolo by itself is an amazing smorgasboard of many facets of Brazilian culture and lifestyles. From the diverse ethnic variety one finds while hobbying, to the sophisticated levels of trendy bistros, watering holes, that could satisfy any level of socioeconomic standing on this board the place could appear to be, if you don't research properly, to be either very expensive to quite inexpensive.

I just prefer the down to earth 10's I've had the priviledge of sampling for pennies on many occasions while sampling some the thousands upon thousands of Clinicas, boites, prives, and individual providers this city provides. The best value IMHO is not in the expensive clubs, it is in the prives and Clinicas, especially early when you are their first customer and the girls are either brand new at the facility (Yummy!) , and the mamasan wants you to give them that initial test drive. I've been lucky to do that about 6 times in Sao Paolo. That is as close to a guaranteed good session as you can get. No way I'm telling anyone whre this place is so don't ask.

The best thing is there are so many areas that I still have not explored yet because I've ran out of time every single time. I hope to address this on one of my future trips where I plan on spending at least one month down there.

I usually don't buy the pubicizing that the daydreamers promote about Brasil, but SP is for me one of the most desirable city to live in the world. Culture, nightlife, cuisine (s) , fine establishments, girls, nearby wonderful beaches, ect, all the ingredients are there to have a sophisticated and interesting life. Furthermore, to reiterate and back up your statement, service in SP is definitely the very best I've had in all my travels, bar none.

I have traveled to Brazil since 1999 and for me Sao Paolo is a great place for mongering as far as quantity and quality. A city with the population of 20 million people. There are new girls from the different part of Brazil arriving everyday. These are the ones that I like to catch, new to the business and are looking for fun. But it's up to you and how you connect with the girl.

The *****houses in SP, from the high end ones like Cafe Photo to the local low end sauna places, caters to Brazilians, not tourists and the locals expect good service or you won't be in business long.

Your best source is the Brazilian website GPGUIA. NET. For those who don't know Portuguese, use the google browser and update it with the automatic translate button.

Other than the hobby, SP has the best of everything in Brazil, restaurants, clubs, etc. And unlike Rio, most affluent neighborhoods don't have a favela next door.

The down side is that you need a car or the taxi fare can add up and the traffic is horrific especially when it's raining. And with the Real being what it is comparing to the Dollar, it's becoming too expensive for me.

Taking that into consideration no wonder then that the city may look expensive. And it is. I realize that each year it is more and more expensive. To minimize costs (especially taxi fares) , I stay in an area where I have an easy access to a lot of facilities whitout spending a lot of money and wasting time in transportation.

For example, this year I found a new CLínica in Moema. The garotas are stunning, the management is perfect and you can have dupla for R$200! (R$180 if you are a poster on the GP Guia). A 25 to 30 minutes walk from where I stay while I'm in São Paulo. Perfect!

It always depend on what kind of activities you wan to have:

1) freelance garotas (most of them are in Jardins or in Moema). Staying in Liberdade gives you, for example, the opportunity take the metro (subway) at São Joaquim and go to either Consolação or Trianon Masp which are not for from Jardin (several garoatas freelance are either in Jardins or Bela Vista).

2) From Liberdade (São Joaquim) your not far from Ana Rosa metro station. From that station you can easily reach a good (but not out of this sight) privê: Privê Redway. Or you can take a metro (on the blue line) from São Joaquim to Santa Cruz. From there a bus to Moema where there's an excellent CLínica: Red massagem (for me, actually, it's the best place in Sampa!).

3) If you are in Liberdade, taking the metro up to the CLínicas station (on the green line if I'm not mistaken) will bring you very close to Bomboa.

4) Another good place to stay is Jardins. You are close to most freelances garotas in Sampa.

5) Staying in Liberdade / Jardins gives you the opportunity to find restaurants that are goods and not too expensive.

6) Renting a car! No. Either you will have an accident (Brazilians drive fast) , get lost (to drive in Sampa you MUST know the city) or get jammed in the traffic (one of the worst problem in Sampa: o transito! (the traffic).

Be modest. Take busses or metros: they are good means of transportation. Try to avoid them in rush hours however. It's not like Tokyo but there's too much people transiting in the same time then. It's not pleasant.

An old friend of mine informed me that, besides "standard" service, she now offers fetish, domination, etc.
