There is no strict separation of those guys who have been tested from those who haven't. Guys are allowed to mix with those who have been tested even though they have not yet passed their own test. Typical scenarios are:

1) You register on one floor which is the same floor as one of the party rooms. You are told to report to another floor to do your testing. On your way to this other floor you pass guys who are going back downstairs to the party room on the floor you entered on. You could easily wait a few minutes on the stairs and then come back down giving the impression that you have 'passed' your test. The persons at reception never checks wristbands.

2) Typically the station where the testing takes place is in an open space. Guys sort of queue up but it isn't an orderly queue and guys are milling around and going back and forth past the station. Some are fully dressed and others not. It would be fairly easy to just walk past the station confidently as if you had already been tested but hadn't yet changed your clothes. No one would question you.

3) Often after you have been tested you will be told to go and change and come back to get your test results. This is to save you wasting time waiting. There is an element of trust that you will actually come back. You could easily just get changed and head off to a party room to start inseminating the women. I have often seen the tester calling out peoples names for them to come and collect their wrist bands with no one seemingly coming forward. The tester is normally so busy that they will put several test samples aside and carrying on testing others. It is only when you come back that they then go and check your sample to see if it is OK. These test samples could just lay unattended for 30 minutes or more even though they may have a 'positive' result. Could the tester remember which guy had not come back to collect the 'positive' sample? Imagine if they had to call a halt to the party, turn on the lights and get everyone to line up to check which person did not have a wrist band? It would ruin the party and there would be mass panic. Not to mention unprecedented bad publicity.

4) There is no periodic checking that all those who have registered at the desk have actually gone and done their tests. Some could have slipped through the net.

The easiest and less problematic way to skip the testing is just to slip past the testing stations. There are no turnstiles forcing you to queue up single file. You could then just get changed and simply join in the action. The action takes place in darkened rooms and no one is really checking for the presence of wristbands. Least of all the guys who are concentrating on getting their end away. Definitely not the girls who have their attentions taken up by several guys at once.

As I mentioned before it is not clear how thoroughly they do actually test. Typically they are writing out your name on the wristband after only a couple of minutes have elapsed. This is despite the fact that it normally takes many minutes before you know the result for sure.

I guess it was just the shock, after reading the part saying the tests were actually obnoxious and an inconvenience for some. I never considered these STD tests a thrill killer or a kill joy, especially when your dealing with HIV or HEP see. I mean, I'm sure, most of us have been there with one night stands, where you wake up and sober up the next mourning and hope or pray she didn't have the big HI 5.
