Guys, will there be any action in the larger establishments like Colonze, La Belle, and similar during Songkran? Flying in to LOS early next week, and can't move the dates so kinda stuck with sitting out parts of this festival.

I'm not here to talk about recognising LBs as such, but more that LBs are creeping into Soi Cowboy. I hope it doesn't become like Nana Plaza and Pat Pong with loads of them.

Last night one Coyote dancer at Sahara looked a bit LB like with narrow hips and exaggerated movements (but probably wasn't). However Midnite had one LB without any doubt whatsoever. I recall a couple of LBs at Deja Vu in the past too.

Are other bars starting to accept LBs as dancers or bar-finable staff? I'm excluding the Suzi Wong LB mamasan.

[/QUOTE]IMO, ladyboys or post-op ex-guys have always been around in the go-go bars, at least in the past 15 years. I'm assuming most of them are post-op ex-guys; I've never checked; LOL! (Those types of surgeries are relatively inexpensive in Thailand).

A majority of go-go bars will have at least 1 ladyboy or post-op ex-guy. Some guys like those types of things.

Ya, I hope they don't "invade" like they did in Nana.

I have never seen one at Long Gun, Baccara, or Suzi Wong (excluding the mamasan). There are a few women who look like guys around though LOL.

To the contrary I've seen Thai man women shelling out their money for whatever they got and not making a fuss about it.

A few days ago I was in Bacarra and got a girl to sit next to me. The hottest girl I've seen in Bacarra so far. In the course of our short conversation, I mentioned I was staying at the GM and apparently she thought I was trying to impress her (I just meant to tell her I was staying very near). Though she was pleasant until then (and excellent English) , she looked at me with a smirk and said "I don't care what hotel you are staying at".

I blinked twice, smiled and said "I don't think I like your attitude. You can go now. Kap Kap." She was completely taken aback and asked me to repeat it. The look on her face was priceless. It doesn't seem like this happens to her too often.

If possible after that, get a hot girl from the same shop, treat her well, make her come and give her a nice tip. Bad-attitude-girl will hear about it the next day. LOL

I probably would not have said I was staying at GM unless asked, for fear of appearing to be showing off. However her answer was not a good way to create harmony unless she was clearly joking around. Anyway probably you were best to find someone else who could accept statements of fact at face value without incorrectly reading attitude into them. Nothing worse than a pairing with continual misunderstandings to follow, leading to a bad time. Many girls have a bad habit of reading in meaning that is just not there. I got divorced for exactly those reasons.

Meanwhile Evianist says that he got extra pleasure from rejecting the hot girl. I would never say it gave me a feeling of pleasure. I don't need to feel so smug. It would be just a calculated decision about maximising my chance of finding a good time.

Did the girl perform up to your expectation?

Last year at about 1 am I think on the 3rd of may (approximately) , one night I was quite tired of looking for someone, all the good stuff was either gone or had been tried earlier, I ended up selecting one from Midnite, took her back to the hotel (which was a saviour) , she refused to shower together, in the taxi, her hands were pretty hard, I sent her for a shower in the bathroom and quickly called the night guard at the reception, and asked him if the one I had brought was a LB, he confirmed yes, he was, got quite angry, when he came out of the shower and saw me all clothed, got quite surprised and asked me what I was up-to, I told him I was not gay and was not interested, he said why, I told him you never disclosed you were an LB, did you, he said no, I asked him to leave politely, he asked for money, I gave him 500 B, as I didn't want any trouble, I was ok with calling the police if I had too, but nothing like that had to happen, as he left quite willingly, got quite relieved the moment he left, thanked the guard, asked him how he knew, he told me it was evident to him from the I-card, tipped him 100B, next few days kept tipping him daily and he would give his nod after having seen the I cards, I think this probably is the best way to find out before, al these women will hand over their I cards to the guard and of course if you are friendly enough with him, you can know beforehand, also you need to get them back to your hotel for this, short time rooms, will never give you this privilege.

Also one more dancer from midnite is definitely a LB, which is evident from his big posture and over aggressive behavior, got to be careful.

You can as well check it yourself (as already explained in the "Identifying transvestites" thread).

Before the person's name, written in Thai, if you can find "นาย" (= "Mister"), then, you are dealing with someone who was born a male.

Following are the various cases:
Mister: นาย ("nai")
Miss: น.ส. (abbreviation for นางสาว "nang sao")
Mistress: นาง ("nang")

And with the most recent Thai ID cards, it's even easier as it is mentioned in Thai AND in English.
