I think Bogota is good for escorts due to the size of the city and the competition so if you're willing to pay more than brothel / club girls you can have a very good time.

Ibis Museo. Great location with oxxo, banks, crepes / waffles, and coffee less than 5 minute walk, clean, hot showers, relatively quiet. Walked 10 minutes to official Claro store for SIM card since I was worried my old phone's IMEI was locked from my last Colombia tripthe employee there said she registered it for me. Brought girls back to hotel twice. First time was no problem, second time reception called me saying something about an extra guest. I told them I had no problem before, they said something I couldn't make out, and hung up. Girl showed up a few minutes later and said she had no problem. So not sure what happened. Second time was a few hours before checkout deadline. I had initially reserved the room for 2 guests. Next time someone stays there and brings chicas back, let us know if there are any problems. Because apart from that, the hotel was great.

Santa Fe at night. Took the Woodman tour, friendly helpful guy with a lot of knowledge. Definitely helped me be more comfortable there because it is a very sketchy area. By myself, I only felt relatively safe on the streets that were busy with people. Dark streets with few people I purposefully avoided walking down. Police vehicles patrol regularly. My trip was during the week so I didn't get the full effect, but even then it was a huge number of sex workers. I can imagine how wild it would be on the weekend. The SF clubs were all fairly similarly set up as a standard strip club / brothel. I had no problems getting Uber to / from SF and my hotel.

Bogota. Cool and mild, not much rain while I was there. Traffic as bad or worse than Medellin and driving just as chaotic. Took Uber / didi everywhere, still cheap. Only found the time to visit two museums, Gold and National. Both worth the visit and next time I'm back I'll go to the ones I missed as there are many. Finally tried crepes and waffles, now I see why it gets so busy. El Dorado Airport took forever to get through immigration for my departing flight, reminds me why I leave more than enough time for the airport so I don't have to stress as much.

Will I go back? Yes. Bogota or Medellin? I liked them both, but my next Colombia trip (whenever that will be) will be to Bogota.[/QUOTE]Thanks for this write-up. Carr 19 is great in santa fe with restaurants and of course santa fe has great sw, but seeing reports here that prices have increased and service has gone down?

100 k for a 15 min rato? Or are vennies still available for the 50 k rato?. But OTOH, central chapinero has a ton of good brothels, (Thanks to Tomdick for the guide), and a plethora of girls on mileroticos and photoprepagos. And an overall nicer area. I am a daytime monger, not a late night guy or party animal. Don't like loud clubs. But santa fe is so easy sometimes LOL! One pop a day and I'm good.

I too have had a few memorable ones.

Now it's been 20 years since my few trips to Rio but I have had similar experiences with really great women in (a) Moscow in 1994, (b) Finland in 1978, (c) Oslo Norway in 1978,1980 and 1984, (d) Stockholm Sweden in 1987, (e) more than I can count in Colombia in the past 30 years including an experience as recently as last week in Medellin.

I've been going for a long time and just had a Friday / Saturday there.

Before I was originally supposed to leave Colombia I end up spending the day with a girl I see regularly (let's call her Ellis). As the night's ending I tell Ellis that I'm leaving the next day, and she just starts bawling. Like just straight hard crying. Afterwards tells me that she didn't expect to react like that either. Anyways, we meet up the next day and go around and stuff. It's evening time and my flight's at midnight so I tell Ellis I have to go up to Zona T to get cash (only have 100 k). She mentions it's OK, I don't have to pay her she'd rather spend the time together doing something before my flight. Was kind of a shocker for me. We end up grabbing dinner then going back to her place for the first time. My alarm doesn't go off so I'm still at her place and late leaving for the airport. We end up trying to go to the airport anyways, but I'm too late so she suggests staying over at her place. We do that and now that I'm thinking over it now it's actually so strange because:

1. I've never been to a working girl's house.

Call Ellis later and she's obviously been crying and we patch some things up. Well recently she's said even more stuff about how she wants something serious and some other corny shit so I tell her it's best we don't talk for a bit so she can calm her thoughts. And I guess that's the report.

Any of you guys ever had something similar in Colombia? This is a first for me. The strangest part for me seems that the boyfriend / girlfriend thing seems pretty sincere. It would never work long term, but seems like it would've been fun when I went back to Colombia. I think this was supposed to be something where I asked some questions but in the end kind of came out as a stream of consciousness.
