[/QUOTE]A post-op is still a ladyboy (dick or no more dick), but in Thailand politely referred to as a "she" when speaking English, even if the the Id card says "Mr.". A LB / Transsexual is someone who wants to be a woman but was born with a dick and no pussy. "Ex-guy" strongly suggests that something has changed dramatically (post-op as you said) but not a normally used term, I think. ;)
Mostly, I can tell the difference between butch girls or ugly girls and LBs. Not interested in either for sex (so no big deal).

I probably should have written “Mrs.”, but I wanted to avoid using an abbreviation when the equivalent in Thai was not an abbreviation. As explained in Wikipedia, it is rare for Mrs to be written in a non-abbreviated form and it lacks a standard phonetic spelling (in literature it may appear as “missus” or “missis” or “Mis’ess”, etc.). Instead of choosing one among the numerous non-standard phonetic spellings, I just used the word that this abbreviation originally meant.
Actually, knowing the origin of this word, I initially thought that “missus” (for instance) was just a shortened or altered way of saying “mistress” (even for English native speakers), just like “ma'am” is sometimes used instead of “madam”, but I guess that it's a bit different nowadays for “Mrs.” (so, you can call me pedantic or archaic, I would not mind too much as a non-native English speaker, especially since I consider this matter totally unimportant!).

Well, Songkran is great fun for some people who are on holiday and have nothing more interesting to do, especially if they can celebrate it at one place without having to travel too much during this period. But for many residents, it's mostly a pain in their (according to you) "tight ass"!
For instance, I really hate driving during those holidays as it's even more dangerous than usually in Thailand and the Land of Smiles is certainly not renowned for its road safety records even in normal times (3516 road accidents, 361 deaths and 3803 injuries were reported last year during Songkran).
Of course, I too have had my share of fun in the past (including several freebies) and still spend occasionally some good moments with the locals during Songkran, but I could perfectly live without it (actually, I would be rather pleased if one day, it ceases to exist anymore).
At least, if it lasted only three days! Officially, it's only from April 13th till April 15th, but actually, it lasts much more than that. This year, I underwent my first water-splashing attack on April 6th while driving my car in a small village of Northeastern Thailand! I was so surprised that I could have had a bad reflex then, and could have provoked an accident with a motorbike arriving in the same area. And I can consider myself lucky because I was in my car and not riding my own motorbike this day (at least, I and my belongings did not get soaked like the other guy passing by at the same time)!

To my right came a red convertible with three north Europeans girls, they giggled and tried to attract my attention over the course of two or three more lights. I never turned my head, but could see that they were gorgeous blondes. And kept a straight if not slightly annoyed face.
However, I didn't do that just to be a stuck-up jerk. I knew with absolute certainty that the actual chances of bedding that type of girls were very small, but the effort involved in just trying would have been huge. Being comfortable and confident with oneself to the point where you're capable of saying no when the offer isn't all that great, no matter how attractive the woman is, is where the pleasure comes in.
If a very beautiful woman approaches you with the implication being "I have no interest in you as a person. I want you to overpay for me to give you a disinterested starfish performance. And I want you to like it." and you're capable of smiling and saying "No thank you." then you're in a good place mentally.

Songkran is terrible. That's why I left just before it started. I don't want some stupid idiot spraying who knows what (toilet water, sewer water, swamp water) on me when I'm out and about. It could quickly escalate into a fight and that's not why I go to Bangkok. Songkran had nothing to do with soaking people and acting stupid. It's a New Year's celebration and it's supposed to be holy. That's definitely not what it is now.
