Load up wechat and start to send msg to girls nearby and then weed them out takes bit time but its ok, while you sit an have beer.

Taxies are probly the worst in asia to use the meter I use uber, if you lookn to go to changkat I would stay near there.

2. Don't Know. Why you not stay around Bukit Bindang? Plenty of spa, massage, bars.

3. I read that Gypsy and Zion on Changkat Bukit Bindang have freelancers but I can't confirm.

There is a taxi desk there that will you will give you a flat rate to any destination. You pay at the desk and give your driver the paperwork. I paid RM 17 to get to Bukit Bintang last night. A better idea is to take the monorail from Sentral to Bukit Bintang station. Very easy to do. The bars are on Changkat which is an easy walk from the BB monorail station. Going back to your hotel, taxis will ask for R30 from Bukit. They will easily negotiate down to R20 which is what I paid last night. Every now and then you'll find a taxi that uses a meter at night. But they are few and far between. Deluxe Spa at the Federal Hotel is in the BB area. The spa on the 5th floor at Hotel Soliel is a 1 minute walk from the Changkat bars. I don't know of anything near the Hilton other than very low end stuff that I didn't bother to check out. I'm in Sihanoukville today. Back to KL in a few days. KL is a nice change of pace from your home base in Thailand.

If they want more than 20 leave door open and walk away. Oh poor driver has to get out and close door. Helps that I am rather big but.

Proviso: don't try this outside BC or TC.

Quite frankly I usually open door and say I know its 10 RM but I will give you 20 RM to take me to x. To me the difference between $2:50 US and $5 US is negligible. Others on principle may disagree.

Also agree on location. Can you cancel your accom and stay closer to action. Do you know you can walk to and from BC & TC from say Fraser Place?

Hotel Maya, very nice place, nice sky bar, walking distance to Beach Club and the rest.

Similar to Banana Boi, I will also be visiting KL but most likely in December. I've booked 4 nights at the Doubletree near Kampung Datuk Keramat which doesn't seem too far away (hopefully). I'm slowly reading up on the forum and currently moving backwards (page 18). I appreciate all the advice not only about BC and TC and all the different spas but also the more specific info on taxis, grab app, and SIM cards. I did have minor buyers remorse after booking my nonrefundable hotel and then seeing some members boast about their experiences in Thailand but perhaps that will be for another time. It appears to me that L-st141 is a good reference point but am I missing any other sites that prepare me?

Looks like all foreigners now have to pay 10 Ringgits per night on their lodgings as a government tourist tax, as of September 1st. Malaysians are exempted. The tax has been implemented due to budget reductions in recent years, and hopes to raise $49 million usd per year. On a brighter note, it looks like the Petaling Street fukcboxes are all open today so will have to hit up a nice semi-skank there.

As far as I know they never been closed??as I always go there an will be there on Tuesday to check.
