The name "Manila Bay Cafe" would be a lot more authentic and distinctive.
Why they had to change back to LA Cafe is beyond logic.
Ouch. Where have I been? I missed this. MBC is the better name anyway.
He posts without actually submitting Field Reports or pictures.
In the Indonesia thread a growing number of posters don't believe him anymore. Nobody has ever met him in Indonesia, despite several challenges.

Nope you wrote Miss Universe / Universe which closed down in 2011 because of [CodeWord903] girl working as host, I didn't know they reopen under Miss universal disco Theater & KTV on the same location in FB Harrison on pasay city but 7000 p barfine is way too much.

Landed in Terminal 3 at 6:40 pm today on Cebu Pacific flight. Luggage was a breeze. Got outside and the taxi line was very long, maybe one or two taxis pulling up every minute. Look like the wait would be over an hour. The private car or coupon taxis were hawking a two hundred peso taxi ride for 1,000. At times coming down to 900. As I stood there for 10 minutes I noticed the Resort World shuttle bus pulling up. The light bulb went off about getting on the shuttle to Resort World and getting a taxi from there. I went on the shuttle and 5 minutes later I am there and into a taxi as it was dropping a passenger. The fare was 150 and I tipped him 50 because he didn't tell me any stories about a sick child or anything else. He just drove.
A big thanks to ISG and member's report and tip about RW shuttle. BTW, the only question asked by the driver was Marriotts or Resort World. At first I thought he was asking about rewards program. I said Marriotts, Marriotts Hotel is the first stop. I didn't get off because I didn't see a taxis there. Driver reminded me we were at Marriotts, I then said I would get off at RW. I tipped the driver 50 pesos because he helped me with a couple big bulky bags on and off the bus.
Due to Ascott fully booked I spend my remaining days in Manila at the Hyatt. So far the area is a deserted area but I guess in a few years it will develope with a few higrises and maby a few shops. Like most other places having a mini mart /7-11/ pharmacy etc I could not find this in the city of dreams building or in close near by. Maby others have different intel and I simply not did a good enough research. Mention mini marts etc is nice and convenient to just buy in some small snacks / sodas etc as even I think it is to much to pay 200 piso for a can of coke at the Hyatts minibar. So that is a downside staying in this area.
Girls reporting they have trouble finding drivers beeing familiar enough with the area (and I believe also Huts reported so a while back, even experienced this myself while staying here first time with regular gf and baby)but now i have learned to use Mall of Asia (MOA) as a landmark and from there it is easy enough to guide the drivers with the girls assistance to Hyatt. The hotel will most gladly assist you in sending a Fortuner and a driver to pick up girls if you like. Depending on where in Manila it will cost around 2-4000 piso. I did this one time and it was easy and swift but ofcourse more costly than ordinary taxi. 2500 for picking up a New World Manila Bay employee in Malate.
From City of Dreams there are shuttles to MOA from I believe 7 am in the morning (departing:00 and:30) every hour until 10 pm. I was close to jump on one but to many people so normal taxi it was (70 piso metered to MOA and 200 piso back not metered). By the way i did not like MOA as a mall that much in its layout but many beautiful girls. And the worst iceskating i ever experienced(but i know it is not in their blood)..

A quick question about where near the terminal this shuttle stops. I recall in the past as I stood facing the yellow cabs at their arrival spot, I looked over my shoulder and saw a shuttle bus pull up directly behind me, and in the drive or roadway right adjacent to the terminal building. Is this where you saw the shuttle? If not, where did it pull up, and how is it labeled?

You are truly Norwegian my friend. But the Dutch are better ice skaters of course :-)

But I was watching some iceskaters skating around the rink inside Mall Of Asia and I must say, without bragging and as an old icehockey player, I would have been the best skater at the rink if I did try and I am not even talking about the average public skater out there, I am talking about the team of instructors (only based on what I saw this very day ofcourse). I agree though that the Dutch are hard to beat (Sven Kramer). In icehockey no problem but again we have teams like Canada, Sweden, USA, Russia much better than us any given day.

As you come out of T3 baggage you cross over to the taxi line island. The line faces to the right as you exit T3. I was in line about 300 feet or 100 meters from the start of the line. As I stood in line I saw the RW bus to my right, which would be curb side as you exit T3. I didn't look for a sign but there was a small desk there. There were about 10 Chinese people in line at the desk signing in. I thought I might be SOL if the bus filled up or I had to sign in. I looked at the driver and asked if I could board and he gracious grab my luggage and loaded it on board. Hope this helps you.

When you come out of T3, the first sidewalk is where the taxi's are. To the far right, is the yellow taxi. You have to cross the street, and get to the second sidewalk. And that is where the bus stops. If I remember correctly, it will say resorts world on the side of the bus. If you ask any of the "taxi" hustler's where is the resorts world shuttle bus is, they will show you. Most taxi drivers don't want you, because it is too short of a drive for them. It is one of those mid sized buses.
I am surprised they now stop at Marriott. That is cool, for my next stay there.

I've spent many a lunch in the food court overlooking the rink and have been pleasantly surprised at the entertainment. Rounds of applause if they're good.
Anybody remember Cool Runnings?!
I haven't been to the Phils in a few years, but I see Uber is available there. Anyone have experience using this service?
I haven't been to the Phils in a few years, but I see Uber is available there. Anyone have experience using this service?
I have used it several times with success. It seems to be most effective from the Manila airport. However, uber drivers are no always available, so have a backup plan.
