I don't think that it is a rip-off. He does not know what to do with your baht. He would have to go to exchange, if you give him baht. And the time he spends for exchanging is more worth than 6 rm.

Things were pretty dead there, maybe too early, maybe be / see of rain. Not a girl in sight. We left without even getting a drink.

I will be in KL for a few days starting in two weeks and will be staying at 2 Jalan Stesen Sentral. As I don't know anything about KL, may I request some pointers to go from the hotel to the Sky River / Soleil / Bond Spa or Federal Hotel Spa? Are taxis the best way and will the taxi driver be able to tell where to go (I mean the exact location of Spa). I am from Bangladesh. Are there any places that I should not go (saw that one spa does not allow Caucasians?

Just use google maps for the directions from your hotel to the saunas. Is easy to reach these places with public transport (monorail from KL Sentral Station) plus some walk. Up to you if you prefer use taxi or grab or uber. Last June I visit: Skyriver, Soleil, Genesis, Green Elephant, Nova, Bond. I'm a white guy and I was allow in all this sauns, no problem.
