Pattaya Reports

I met and went to dinner with a woman who is an assistant director at a beauty clinic. Dinner came to 543 baht. Somehow we got on the subject of tipping. She said that she is Thai so usually she does not give tips. She said when she goes to get a massage she will tip the person 100 baht because they work so hard. And the same for the person at the salon who does her nails. I paid for our dinner with a 1000 baht bill. She said next time she would pay. When the change came back I gave her the book and said okay now how much would you leave for this waitress. She said since I liked her...she gave me my change leaving 37 baht in the book (which figures to be 6.8%.)

Side Note: Just to say again it's funny how being a foreigner you have the mindset that Thais know their fellow countrymen. But that could not be farther from the case. The girl I was with asked the waitress if she was Thai. She thought that she may have been Filipina. She was indeed Thai though.

The stamp or sticker is place in the passport and information is all placed in the data base for Immigration. If you go to a travel agent to buy your ticket if they know what they are doing will make sure you actually have permission before they even sell you the ticket. If not, a travel agent the staff when you check in will in this case Thai National look at the passport to make sure that permission is given before you even are issue a boarding pass. The you have another two line of defense which is the Thai Immigration and once through it finally the USA Immigration. Without the permission or stamp / sticker I doubt you would get out of the airport in Thailand. Every Immigration check stop this is what they are looking for and the few questions they ask by our immigration unless a red flag comes you are in.

At least that was my own experience in 2007.

My experiences with the Javanese girls was the same as yours. They were the sweetest girls, cute as hell, wore low cut skin tight jeans, tight tee shirts that exposed their belly buttons and colorful scarfs to cover their heads. There is a big difference culturally, physically, ethnically between Indonesian women and Middle Eastern women. Indonesian girls are attractive, sexy, passionate, and highly doable. I can't say the same for the Middle Eastern variety.

When money is not involved our humans sex life is not much different from what's shown on the channel Animal planet where the strongest / most attractive male get to inseminate most of the females while the average or less strong / attractive males will have a poor sex life.

Very much is written on this topic throughout the internet, some call it the 80/20 rule which means that 20 percent of the men get to sleep around with 80 percent of the women in the free western world, I may think that is a little way out, but it's got some truth in it, and more is written on the topic of PUA which means Pick Up Artist, some are naturals, some can learn and some, like myself feels fuck it! And book a flight to Thailand instead.

And while we sometimes like to say the Thais do this or the Thais do that, the fact is that the Thais do all kinds of things. It's no easier to generalize about them than about farang (which of course a lot of Thais like to do too).

Bottom line: stay sensitive to the situation and learn to improvise. Trying to make up rules and then follow them just doesn't work too well here.

I loved the Indonesian ladies; and the average Indonesian whom I encountered as individuals and in small groups on a daily basis were very nice; but I found the society as a whole difficult to deal with and the government impossible. A plethora has been written on the subject. It's worth it to plan a stop for a few days in Jakarta. The city is terrible and the mongering scene is totally different than Thailand. There is nothing like Soi Cowboy or Walking street. There are clubs and entertainment centers that are filled with P4P girls, pros and semipros. You can also find some pretty sophisticated ladies from good backgrounds that are fair game. Read the appropriate threads on ISG to learn more.
