Kiev is over.
After tonight. Sitting with massively overweight fat girls trying to make conversation.
Kiev is over.
Well at least as I put in my previous post, the low hanging fruit is gone. I haven't seen any really gorgeous girls anywhere out. There are average attractive nice looking girls with their Ukrainian boyfriends going to the hot spots that will probably deny you entrance because you are the wrong age, wrong face, wrong race, wrong language. FOREIGNER NOT WELCOME. There is still no egalitarian attitude here. In US clubs you can jump the line if you're a hot girl or if you pay to reserve a table. But here, who wants to say pay $1, 500 euros to reserve a table at the (defunct) Dante Park. Really? How stupid is that in Ukraine. (Also how did that business model work out in the end? I guess not so good). Basically you are welcome only if you are a smart looking corrupt scion of local oligarchy...
A little too impressionistic, but still I think this is one of the best reports I have ever read on this forum. I feel this way perhaps because of my own experiences in Ukraine.
That said, however, with Kiev being the city where a lot of my dreams have come true, I would like to see it with my own eyes what is really happening there.
In this regard, it is in fact unbelievable what I am reading. After all, I was in Kiev only last November, a few days before all this started in that month, when I experienced almost the same as before.
I will be there sooner or later this year and hopefully find my dream girl, lol !
I will most likely stand out as a foreigner. Perhaps there are many stupid Ukrainians who don't understand what is happening politically and economically and who just vent their steam toward any foreigners. But make no mistake, if they attack me, they will be covered by pepper spray!
