It's like watching an 80's horror movie, the general plot and the outcomes are well-known to all, but the people still go through that door or turn that corner? I wonder what it would be like turned in reverse, with people coming to America to find American wives. Everyone bashes Americanas, but if someone can't find a mate in the diversity of the US, going abroad to a country with a different language is not going to help.

The majority of places in Brazil use the same plug as the US. Hence you will not need anything. Rio & Sao Paulo mostly use 110v US plug.

Some other places in Brazil use 240v, but they usually have a 110v plug somewhere in the hotel/apartment.

Btw, Notebooks have an inbuilt AC adaptor connected to the power plug (the black box), hence you can use them pretty much anywhere in the build and they will adapt to whatever voltage is present, ie 110v upto 250v all works fine.

I have been looking around, but I can't find a list of massagems in Copacabana.

Could somebody please attach a link to a list I expect must be hidden here somewhere.

There is no list for Copa. Search the Rio thread with keywords 'termas', 'club', 'clubbe', 'bar' or 'NS Copa' and you'll find plenty of venues to keep you entertained in the area. Massagems aren't the big thing in Copa. Copa is setup for guys who like to drink alot, pickup from bars, or get action in the back rooms of a bar.

On my recent trip to Rio I did a few pass by's of Ho beach and the talent was very light. Last time I remember that area having any crowds was 2004 or 2005. There seemed to be more touts than customers, one of the touts told me that more girls should be showing up in a half hour as they sleep late, it was already 2 PM. He wanted me to rent a chair and have a beer and wait for them.

I don't know how many of you have ever seen someone get rescued from drowning on Copacabana beach. It's quite an experience, what happens is the lifeguard on the beach spots the swimmer in trouble and instead of swimming out to rescue you they call a helicopter. The Helicopter hovers over the swimmer and a lifeguard jumps out of the helicopter into the water with the swimmer. The helicopter then drops a basket into the water and everybody gets into the basket and is moved to shore. I captured this on my cheap little camera but it has limited capabilities and from the distance and height it doesn't do it justice:
