can anyone tell me where the action is in gensan?
gensan is a fairly dead town, and if you're going there for hobbying purposes only, you're going to be disappointed i think. the most well known place is called discorama, off the national highway, about a 5 minute trike ride from east asia or sun city suites hotels. there e 15-20 girls working the place, though not all will bar fine. the ladies drinks are almost php500! and the bar fine is something outrageous like php3, 500 which does not include the money paid to the girl. it's worse than burgos st. and i'd give it a miss. there's also a building, again just off the national highway in barangay heights, called j-mix, and it's well known since it's owned by manny the champ. it's got a disco and a bar or two and i'm told it's a good venue but i've never been, so i don't know what the deal is. in addition to that, there are lots of smaller ktv bars rep001tered around, well-known to every trike driver.
the two big hotels-east asia and sun city suites-are adjacent to each other, and there may be talent lurking around them at night. e. asia forms the back part of a u-shaped complex. if you exit the hotel, and go to your left, strolling along the line of shops and bars that form that leg of the u, there's a bar with take-out hostesses who often hang out in front of the place.
gen san is, on balance, a faily boring place.
