Hotel death horror
MANAMA: A Chinese prostitute was killed yesterday and two others were injured when they tried to stop her jumping from the second floor of a hotel during a police raid.
"The defendant was one of 13 Chinese prostitutes arrested during the raid on the hotel in Manama," said a Public Prosecution spokesman.
"Police issued a search warrant against the defendants following a tip-off and when they entered the room, the woman immediately ran towards the balcony and threw herself off, dying on the spot.
"Two women, who were with her in the room and tried to stop her, ended up falling as well, but landed on the first floor balcony, sustaining minor injuries.
"The Bahraini investor of the hotel has been arrested for helping in running the prostitution den."
Three Indian receptionists were also arrested for allegedly helping the women get clients.
All the defendants, except for the investor, confessed to the charges during questioning, said the spokesman.
The hotel has been shut down for further investigation.

Well, I'm staying away from the hotel/apts scene until after Ramadan. I think Bahrains WG population should begin thinning about now in many of these places. Small hotels, apt blocks were getting edgy from several weeks back. One place I was in cleared out all the girls to a safe place at mid-night on suspicion of a raid about to happen.
