I take the 992 bus to Santa Fe Depot, then the trolley. $1. 10 + $1. 25 for slightly used folks like me, twice that for young whippersnappers under 60. Still under five bucks for the youngsters. On weekdays the bus runs every 15 minutes until evening, then drops to every 30, and it's every 30 on weekends. I've never arrived on evenings or weekends so I've never had more than a 15 minute wait. I might reconsider if faced with half an hour.

The trolley to the border is, I believe, the Blue line, not the Red line unless things have changed, but I'll defer to the pros here.

15 minutes wait for bus 992 to the Santa Fe station may be quicker than waiting for UBER or LYFT. The bus runs between 5 AM to midnight.

The trolley is painted red but officially It's called the blue line to San Ysidro border.

At a cost of $2.25 (or free if you purchased the Trolley's day pass) from the Trolley's Santa Fe Depot you can catch bus route #992 that takes you right to the curb-side baggage drop off for airport Terminals 1 & 2. There is also a newer alternative: You can transfer from the Trolley's Blue Line to the Trolley's Green Line and get off at the Middletown Trolley Station to connect with the free Airport Shuttle (down Palm Street and across Pacific Highway). The free "Terminal to Trolley" shuttle runs every 10 to 15 minutes.

Correct. There is no red line because almost all the trolleys are red in color. Both the tracks and the trolleys have been upgraded so the trip to the border should be even quicker than it used to be.

I called Uber from Cascadas back entry many times but only one driver know how to get there.

You can use Farmacia Milenio or Farmacia Frontie as desitnation if you want to go back to PedWest, use google map.

Uber app allow you to schedule a car. Use the Farmacia as meeting point to take you to your hotel. I travel light so just hopped on a bus or shuttle that goes to Centro (You can see the sign on the windshield). The bus / shuttle is only 10 pesos. They take USD, prepare some quarters. I use google offline map to figure out where to get off, usually it is the first stop, I think it is at Madero near the Arch.

To arrange the $2 UBER ride between HK and Ped West, it may be easier to use hotel Cascada's front address and Farmacia Milenio or Farmacia Frontie:

San Diego is a nice, clean, dry and warm, fairly safe, very beautiful city with some of the best recreational places, totally accessible by the trolley system and buses, highly recommended for travelers, young, old, families.

You can bring your wives and kids, treating them to Sea World, Zoo, Wild Animal Park, Old Town, Gas Lamp District, Seashore Village ect. Wear them down in the daytime, then put them to bed early at night. Sneak out to the trolley, take the Blue Line down to San Ysidro border crossing and head over to La Zona for entertainment and passionate sex with some of the hottest girls in the world.

Get back to the San Ysidro trolley stop before 12:55 midnight and go back to the hotel. Crawl into bed with your sleeping wives like nothing ever happened. Is it a good suggestion or what?

Somebody should do a long in-depth article with Hi-def videos about adventure travel to La Zona for National Geographic's or the Travel Channel. Anthony Bourdain should do a show about Tijuana with everything exciting and pleasurable to both the mouth and the dick.

What time you have to sneak out of sd to get to Tijuana border, get to hk, pick a girl, fuck her, get back to us, cross the border, get the trolly, and get back in bed.

Going to La Zona from your SD hotel is 1+ hour each way. Once you get to Zona you need a good 1 HR 30 min to make it worth the trip. Time flies when you are ogling at naked women. So you need a good 4 hrs to sneak out and get back. Try explaining that to your wife with 'honey I went out for a smoke but the ass burglar got me". Factor in the cost for your divorce attorney and alimony, child support and you will soon see it is not worth it.

May be the trolley would take too long, not convenient and not running late.

Just order UBER and LYFT from and to SD downtown to the border. It's cheap and takes only 10 to 15 minutes in a fast drive. They run all night.

Let's say If you sneak out by 10 PM you can sneak back in before 6 AM and have 8 solid hours to party.

Baseball season is April thru September, while hockey is October thru April. Games typically take 2 1/2 - 3 hours plus walking and travel time, giving you about 4 hours to play with.

LOL, if you're close enough and have a passport card, you can get laid and eat if you are able to do 2 HR lunch breaks. I have allegedly done this in the past (is it lunch yet? M-th close parking is 5 usd (15 min drive from SD) but you will have to return to the east side or walk from the west (15 min walk). Factor in walking from parking to taxi's (10-20 min). Walking around the 4 blocks to choose (15 min). Doing the Macarena (15 min with standing girl + 5 min to and from room). 5 min taxi ride to the line. If you jonny cash (walk the line) to ped west that's 20 min. Finally add walk to car and drive back to work. 10 for taxis, 20+2 for chica, tacos 3, parking 5, so 30 dead presidents, smile= priceless.

Requires flexible schedule (salary with comp time). If you use a time card, you will have to request a long lunch (use dentist, dr apt, etc) and make up the time or use vacation hours.

For the bros who drive from downtown SD, they can get to the border in 15 minutes, plus 10 minutes to HK's Pepe's Parking, 2-minute walk to the alley, 2 minutes to pick up Paola and check into Cascada's room, 1 minute to take her clothes off, 1 minute to warm her up, 1 minute to stick it in and come (OK that's total 32 minutes plus 25 minutes to go back to SD, total 57 minutes, let's say 1 hour.
