If every member is like PpSeeker, then this forum would not work. So I think there's nothing wrong for Sinofaguo to incentivise a member to share some of his intel, especially if that member wants information and is asking questions. Luckily after many years in and around Shanghai, I am moving to Nanjing to work on a new multi-year project. I will report on any worthwhile adventures. I went 2 times to the Madang road branch and 2 times to the Jiangning road branch. Just so you know HJ is included in the price at both location. You only need to pay 200-300 RMB tips if you wan't to have more access (taking top or / and bottom for free roaming). No reason to pay 500 in madang, they are just used to more people wasting money and more tourists not knowing the market.

If you take a vip card you get 100 RMB off per each session (so 396 rmb). If you take a 5000 RMB card they have a promotion till the end of the month where you get +2000 rmb on your card so 7 k total and still 100 RMB off per hour.

They did require a name and room number so as to check if you were real and really in that room. They called the room to check. I was also worried about giving away a real name but then it went fine. Still I prefer those who do not ask such info and use these agencies on last resort.

I've also bumped into some escorts (mostly locals) who would even ask for some prepayment, which most foreigners can't do anyway even with alipay. I guess market is so much in their favor that they tend to have higher and higher requirements even for shitty service. Shanghai sucks.

So definitely don't tip unless you get more than a HJ.
