Looking for help as an expat that speaks Chinese. The last time I was back at the end of 2014 a few folks here pointed me in the right direction. I started out with BBSes in the Jingan area and eventually found a Chinese spa forum that had contact info and reviews but has since been shut down. I would prefer the spa experience over all else. Prices last time were around 500-800 for FS. I'm currently staying in Pudong near the Nanpu bridge. Will most likely wander around to check out BBS / bars in the area first. Would appreciate any tips.

But sometimes I like to roll the dice just for fun, but that said, I have regretted it over 90 percent of the time.

For example, Kitty's in Beijing. After I give her my name and hotel on WeChat, then a few minutes later I'll get a call from her at my hotel room. But I would never give a random WG my name and room number. They have no reputation, and maybe also little to lose if they tried anything questionable.

I think you should skim the forum, especially the last 2 years of posts. In short, most of what you're looking for no longer exists, or is risky.
Manhattan was raided last night approx 11 pm with ALL girls marched out in groups into back of waiting vans and cars. I arrived just as last couple groups marched out.
I walked down to Judys and it was business as normal there. I had been in Manhattan about 30 mins before the raid and I must admit there was a fabulous line up in attendance. Albeit vast majority of them were shopping for locals.
I have been informed that Judys was also raided last night. It was certainly business as usual before 10:30 pm and when I checked again 11:15 pm or so. I left empty handed as I had another meeting planned so I know not more than that.
I will visit both later tonight and see if there is any action going on.
Judys was also raided Tues nt with ALL girls marched out and into vans also. Last nt at Judys at 10:30 pm there was 2 girls only in attendance. Needless to say they were somewhat in demand.
Surprising to me was Manhattan had a fair sprinkling of girls. Prolly close to half what you would expect. Totally Chinese shoppers and no interest at all in the few Westerners there. I stayed for 1 drink and left. Will see what tonight brings later.
Went on aishxxx and contacted a few handlers. I believe almost all the advertisements are ran by the same ring. The process was the same as a few years ago, I was given a bunch of photos with prices and location. Photos were all heavy edited. I ended up visiting a shop in Jingan hidden in a hotel. Had to contact the handler beforehand and mention his name to the guide. The rooms were fine. Private, had a bed and shower. The lineup was decent enough even though I stopped by late. The prices were inflated as expected. I picked an "S" class girl for 2. 6, 70 min /2, girl was cute but had implants, wasn't overly enthusiastic but it was after 2 AM. The next night I stopped by earlier around midnight at a different location on Chongqing nan lu. The location was a dump, lineup / lobby was next door to the bedroom. Picked a 2. 3 girl who was worse looking but better in bed, 70/2 but I took too long for a second go. Not great experiences overall but understandable given the climate. The same types of hotel shops in 2014/15 offered 90 min / unlimited nuru for 600-1 k, but I imagine there's still better value than what I got even among spas / huisuo.
Thinking of looking for independent / incall appointments but the same forum doesn't have many attractive listings. NLO is another option but I'm not staying at a hotel and don't want to deal with the hassle of booking a room and having to show identification. Also don't have a bank card / QQ / wechat so can't pay reservation fees. I just signed up for a subscription here and will have PM soon if anyone has tips. The handlers I contacted are all on the front page of the aishxxx forum. Don't have any great advice except that it's better imo to see lineups and find someone you like instead of booking outcalls based on photos which are never accurate.

Tip: recently, the Dianping method by one members here (sorry I don't remember exactly who), which I also used to great effect, is leading to duds. A lot of Spas with 800-1000+ services menu, and pics of scantily clad masseuses, end up offering nothing. Trust me, I've straight up asked on wechat as well as tried and asked in person. Seems like a bunch of pretty girls learned how to make a quick buck. And the massages are worse than green.
Tried a wechat / QQ girl last night in Pudong. Girl wasn't great, average looking with stretch marks, but the location / price were. Made an appointment via wechat and met her at her apartment which was easy to get to and private. 600/ p. Will try a few others in the upcoming days. Visited Shanghai for just a few nights. Thursday Dec 18, I had both in Judys and Manhattan a glass of wine. The girls told me about the raid by LE. But is was just business as usual, really a lot of girls available. I met a nice Vietnam lady that I met a year ago. She speak reasonable English and is in her 30's, which is perfect for me. We had a date the Friday after; like I mentioned in my previous post, my feeling is that the hotels are making it more difficult for the visiting ladies.
