My (adult) daughter and I usually take a trip together once per year. This year she chose Cartagena. She planned on six days and (because of this site) I realized it would be a good spot to spend a few extra days alone. So, I booked eleven days and she booked six. Once she arrived, I still had alone time (we stayed in different locations), but we spent most of the time doing touristy things together. Next year, she's hoping to do Brazil. If we do it (I have concerns about safety. Hers not mine), then I will probably do the same thing. Arrive earlier or stay later.

Unfortunately because of behavior of your brothers Colombian women are not really interested in Africa gringos. The posse crowd has turned Cartagena into another version of Sosua. Since you seem to have a problem with older American gringos peering around the locals maybe you ought to go take at what the large groups of African Americans are doing largely wasting girls' time, eventually lowballing them and moving on to the next party so you getting the benefit of their cheap holidays.

If Colombian women are not interested in Africa gringos then how come the Africa gringos can be accused of spoiling them? My thinking is that as long as you have money the chicas will be interested. Chicas go after money and gringos represent dollars. The people who are really affected by an influx of gringos are Colombian men. Consider how they feel. These are the people Colombian women are not really interested in in the gringo infested areas.

I can definitely check the box of those "who dislike the hip hop crowd" but its not at all jealousy, its more of an annoyance as they still operate as they are still in high school and have to constantly seek approval of their peers so its constantly "loudspeaker mode" to get attention. For me, I don't think it makes for anyone to hop on a plane to go somewhere just to be annoyed.

I believe this trip will be the final nail in the coffin for me in Cartagena as things hit a new level. My chica was equally annoyed as I was when we returned to Cartagena from Santa Martha and Barranquilla.

Ill now be going more places that are not heavily advertised by the usual Youtubers that attract a certain crowd.

So yes they are both raising the prices for us and also making the girls more difficult to deal with because they are hardened by having to work for these guys.

I thought it was the Sosua guys that have come in and jacked all the prices up and paying in dollars and shit the same as Sosua. Now you are telling us it is actually those guys who are trying to obtain more reasonable prices from the girls and this is a bad thing how? To benefit their cheap holidays? Aren't they they ones known to be weekend millionaires and literally throwing money around? Actually giving away money for nothing? Party crowd? A while back when I said gringos were monopolizing chicas time by flying them out the country for weeks at a time I remember being called a conspiracy theorist (general form section). Even though I saw multiple chicas status in Croatia, Italy, and Paris, along with the usual Cancun, Tulum, Dominican Republic, Panama and Ecuador.

When I said that I saw big paying gringos sending chicas lots of money in advance to secure their availability or paying allot to make sure she's there for them, I remember being called a liar.

Allot of the chicas I see when I go to Cartagena have gringo boyfriends that send them $500 to $1000 a month for them to not sell themselves in the clubs and street but yet they still take on selective customers.

It looks like I struck a nerve with some of the people that I criticized. My intent wasn't to offend. I basically was just saying, "Hey, you took time off work (or whatever); you traveled to another country. Take some time to talk to people, learn about their culture and just show some respect. Treat the ladies like humans. Most of them aren't doing it because they want to. They are doing it because they need to feed their families. ".

Also, you're on vacation, leave the bullshit at home and do as the Romans (or Colombians) do. There is no reason to fight or be angry, you're lucky that you have the ability to travel. Enjoy it.

I think that is one of the great lies that mongers tell themselves. Because when I look around I see millions of people who are not doing it and still feeding their families. My manicurist in Santo Domingo is a great example. She came from Venezuela with nothing. Now she has a nice thriving business with all the latest beauty technology. She is fucking gorgeous. Could be out selling ass to "feed her family," but she ain't. Meanwhile there are citizens of said country that have been there way longer than her that will make every excuse why they need to sell ass (same as mongers do for them). It is quick easy money. That being said, I do not care if they are doing it to feed their family, to buy the latest fashion, or to get drugs; I would not treat them any different than anybody else on the planet.

Try reading back through the reports for the Estespeciallyrom Nypher who is black. This is about Americans who happen to be black. The same Spirit crowd. And there are most definitely enough of them to affect the experience of travelers.

You know what's the irony about a topic like this is? Similar thing happened to Sosua years ago and when brothers who wanted to chill started speaking up about the behavior of others, the ones who like to "represent" came out of nowhere and played the race card and started accusing the chilling brothers who was calling out the nonsense of being against "their people" traveling. The "represent" crowd had no idea that ones who were calling out the nonsense that was happening was part of the same ethic group as them. It was so stupid but funny at the same time because that's always the default defense when they get all high on emotion and start opening their mouths. So lots of "chilling" brothers left Sosua to the other brothers who always want to "represent".

Now, we come to today and the same ones who always want to "represent" that caused allot of "chilling" brothers to leave, are now complaining about the new wave of post pandemic tourists coming in and doing the same type of behavior and worse that the "represent" crowd were defending years ago. So now they spread out and are over in Cartagena displaying the same behavior that they were mad about the post pandemic tourists were doing in Sosua.

Chicas went from being a vacation girlfriend who would stay with the gringo for a few days and cook while the gringo take them on all sorts of adventures, to now, they are telling gringos "if you ain't talking dollars then don't talk to me".

One Cartagena example I can give is I remember when I was in Dolce in 2019 and they had signs up about no recording. If I took my phone out, chicas would hide their face and tell me "no grabar" even the security would tell me I can't do that in there. Right after the pandemic lifted and went back to the same Dolce, just about everyone was in there recording and uploading to social media, even the chicas.

The pandemic was a one time thing and the amount of fine ladies that made themselves available was unprecedented. What is different with Colombia is there are a lot of diamonds off the beaten path. If you want the prices a local gets, you need to go where the tourists do not go.

The one thing everybody has to realize is all destinations are getting more difficult and expensive. Hard work, some game, and a decent budget are required now.

Elvis is correct to look at the smaller cities in Latin America and Europe, this is where you can find some hot chicks, but that takes time and money. The easy days are over, but there is still plenty of hot chicks and some diamonds in the rough.
