Yes, 9K baht can be enough (by the way, 9K baht is approximately the national average monthly wage in Thailand). But an ex-bar girl or streetwalker would usually need more than that as she is already used to earn many times this amount. In Northeastern Thailand (from where most of the local P4P girls are coming from), an important part of the population is living with much less than that (on average, with half this amount per person, and in the poorest villages, many people are living with about 3000 baht per month, or even less than that!).

If you read my posts you see that I work the Disco scene quite a bit. You have to consider that in any work environment, that includes 7-11, beer bars, beach street and disco, there is an issue of looking right and keeping face, coherently to the social classification of the venue. That is even more remarked in Thai society where looks counts more than substance. The pretty, elegant disco girls does not want for any reason to lose face with her "friends", by going with just anybody everynight. Who gets more doing less "wins" and that is right, who wants to make 6K a week blowing 10 walk-in guys rather than 2 well shaven and fit ones? Of course if they have past bills or other obligations, things will change and more than once I had great looking girls credibly telling me they were going for 1,000 when at other times would not have took less than 1,500.
