No flame intended either, but no, you are not buying only service, but also a product. And on the local P4P market, it is mostly the aesthetic qualities of the product, based on the local standards, that determines its value. That's also what you will usually first notice (the beauty of a provider), without knowing exactly what kind of services you may get.

By the way, many people here have already admitted that they don't ask much questions about the services offered when they pick up a local girl (which is not always a good idea, IMHO, but that's what happens quite often, apparently). So, looks matter, definitely.

Don't get me wrong they have there place. If your a tourist and you are here for a week or two and don't have the time to explorer. I understand and you should go to cowboy or nana find a girl pay whatever and have a good time.

As for prices. Lets get real who is paying 1500ST+600BF+300Drinks+300STHotel? That means you are walking into a single bar buying one drink and finding a girl (In the time you finish that drink, considering there on stage dancing for 15+ minutes) buying her one drink (Half a shot cherry wine or tequila) , and in then deciding she's the one for tonight and barfine her. If your doing that you are awesome and my hat is off to you. Let me give you a real example. You go to 6 Bars and have atleast two drinks yourself at each bar (140bhat*12=1680). Two drinks at each bar because it takes about two drinks to see all the girls because a number of them are hiding in the back or upstairs while they are not dancing on stage. Let say you end up buy two girls drinks. The first one is a misfire. Because you go for the hottest girl in the place, and she asks for a drink right away and you pay because you want to be on her good side. Little do you know she has no intention of going with you because she is waiting for some japanese customer to come so she get a Triple3. Once you realize that you leave and go to another bar and find a another cutie. This one is more willing but you end up buying 3 or more drinks because you need to get her a little drunk so she is warmed up a bit (140bhat*4=560).600 Bhat Barfine. Now you go to the shorttime hotel for 300bhat, because lets get real I don't know her and I am not going to risk her stealing any of my shit. Now the price for her services this is variable of course on the girl and how desperate she is for your bhat so anywhere from 1000-4000 for ST. My friend was quoted 4k last weekend by one of tilac coyotes. So for any average lets say 2000. I know you can pay less but 2000 is the going avg rate out there. So lets add this up 1680+560+600+300+2000=5140.

So when you go to the GoGos to find a girl your I think your looking at spending 5100bhat in a evening. Yes, you can spend less but you really have to be superfocused and after the second drink how many of can maintain that focus. Now when you go the massages like Nataree, or Hi Class your looking at 150 for a drink (if you want one).1900-2400 is the fee for everything. So you are in for 2600bhat with the same out come.

2600 vs 5100. That is reason some people including me prefer the massage places better than the GOGos. If your into going to the GOGOs and that is how you enjoy you nights out that is totally cool. Different strokes for different folks.

The thai market place is based upon physical beauty foremost. The more beautiful the girl the higher the price. This basically has to do with reproduction. Anybody can go out and fuck an ugly girl for free but not anybody can go out and fuck a beautiful girl for free, yet so many come to Thailand and pay for ugly chicks. This baffles most Thais, and it baffle me too. Take a walk through nana and notice fat old mothers on stage asking 2000ST. Why are they there? Because guys are barfining them. I have my favorite 3 or 4 Go Go's (Baccara, Tilac, and Rainbow x) that I have been going to for the last 7 or 8 years. Every trip I scout out one or two new bars, but usually end up drawing from the same joints. Here is my standard operating procedure: first, I walk into one of my favorite bars and order a beer and pay for it so I am free to roam around. Then I size up the available talent. If I spot a girl to my liking I wait to see if she gives me a positive sign back like a smile or a friendly glance. Getting that, I then ask her over and buy her a drink. We talk, we flirt and I find out if she is into giving me a good time. Body language is the key. There should be a lot of touching & feeling and kissing. It ain't rocket science and it doesn't take more than one drink to find out what I want to know. If she passes the audition, we are on. If she doesn't pass the audition or I am still unsure, then I let her go and walk on. I haven't had a bad experience with a Go Go girl in a long time, so I must be doing it right.

I never use a ST hotel. I bring my girls back to my hotel. I stay in nice hotels. Why would I want to slum in a ST hotel? Sounds like a night a tourist might have. I definitely don't do all that. You're buying a girl 3 drinks to "get her warmed up"? You realize she's just drinking soda, right?

Usually don't use a ST hotel and have never had a problem with theft. Only buy 1 drink (water) for myself in each place I visit. Definitely don't buy a girl a drink who asks right away just because I want to "get on her good side" (I say no and then wait until she goes away). I don't buy a ladydrink unless we've been talking a few minutes and I'm pretty sure I'm going to take her.

And I only pay 1500 ST. I've barfined dozens of girls, stunners and non-stunners alike, from Baccara, Rainbows, Tilac and all the rest, and not paid more than that. 4000 ST? Those coyote dancers in Tilac are ugly.

I do admit I'll visit at least 2 or 3 places before I pick a girl.

Any chance to see (at least) one picture of those "5000 baht and higher" (ST or LT?) stunners, even fully clothed? If I am not mistaken, you have not posted any picture in the Thailand Photo Gallery so far. I have seen a few decent Asian girls from other countries among the pictures that you posted in other sections of this forum, but, IMHO (and with all due respect), you can easily get girls of similar quality for much less money in Bangkok (not even mentioning other cheaper destinations in the Land of Smiles).

Hong Kong, Macau and even Manila have very high end places were the stunners will cost you more than $200. These cities also have much cheaper alternatives too like 37 Dundas in Hong Kong or Rogues Bar and Havana Café in Makati (2000p, LT). I had good times in these cities as well as AC (1500p, LT) and Penh ($20-$25) on my last trip. Especially in AC where I met up with a lot of nice girls in the smaller bars on Fields. I just go with the flow, but I do have a weakness for very pretty girls.

I am way behind in posting reports of my Feb-March trip to South East Asia. I will post detailed reports soon. Sadly, I don't have pictures of the 3 BKK Soapy massage girls I had sessions with. We were speaking about prices and girls available in Bangkok, so, I won't comment on the other destinations you mentioned. Aum, On and Mini are really cute indeed (IMHO) and like I said to Der Tourist some time ago, I can understand when tourists are paying a bit more than the average going rates for such good-looking girls. The locals and many long-term residents can often get similar quality at a lower price, but at least, you have (IMHO) a good taste in women and as far as those 3 girls are concerned, you certainly did not pay indecent prices for substandard quality.

I don't know whether or not Ae (the X category girl at La Belle massage parlor) is really worth more than twice the price that you paid for Aum, On or Mini. You might actually have paid the price of a Ferrari to get a Ferrari in her case, but I can't say for sure, as I very seldom visit those upscale massage parlors nowadays (I'm already quite satisfied with the equivalent of Porsche and Mercedes-Benz cars that Thais and many long-term residents can get at a much cheaper price on the local P4P market).
