I have to admit that I have no point of reference as far as PG history is concerned, but based on my visit the week before Christmas I would tend to agree with your assessment of the talent in P. G. I had read all the info available here about P. G. And even contacted a couple of friends that had visited in Sep / Oct. What I found was a relatively small selection and you are correct about the impact made by the Korean contingent. I spoke with one of the girls, who turned down my BF offer and when I asked why, she told me that she had already "promised" someone to see them that night. When I asked why she was still in the bar, she didn't know, other than a big group of Korean guys came in, bar fined about 10 gals, paid the fine, then left and told them the would be back later.

I hadn't thought of this technique, but maybe it works pretty good for everyone.

I plan to go back in the next couple of months and we will see how that works out.

I do think that arranging a massage from one of the free lancers or when one of the massage girls gets off work might be another avenue to pursue, although I am not sure if that "quality" level meets everyone's desires.

All this means is that there is just more research to be done. Work, work, work. It just never ends!

What you do is pay half of the bar fine to reserve the girl. Then you return later to pay the balance and collect the girl if you decide she is the one. The idea being you are free to shop other venues and return if you don't find anything better.

I just spent 6 nights in Sabang about a week ago. Barhopped every night with a buddy of mine who lives there, and I only barfined once. Limited choices, and what was available seldom had the right attitude.

So I stand by my previous words concerning mongering in PG. And I don't think I'll ever visit the place again without bringing some takeout with me from Manila.

I read somewhere that you can get a direct flight from Manila to El Nido. Anybody have pointers to the airline (s)? Any ideas on price?

Just left the Sabang area after a week of partying.

I thought it was good. There's a complaint of the limited selection. Well it definitely isn't the size of Angeles. There are 6 girlie bars; maybe couple of hundred instead of thousands of girls. There should be a couple you can find. They still cost 2,000 pesos total (1,000 barfine and 1,000 tip).

There's also a complaint of Koreans coming in early and reserving the best girls. Well, duh; that occurs everywhere, especially in high season and not just with the Koreans. I hope it's just the Euros and Aussies whining; I believe in the American spirit of competition - "sink or swim", "early bird gets the worm", "you snooze you lose". I say compete and win. Come in half an hour earlier.

I love the 50 or 60 pesos beers in the girlie bars; 35 peso beers at other bars; it can be cheap to become an alcoholic. LOL!

Thanks for the heads up, and I agree with another comment that I was there at a "bad" time. At least now I know the "program" and will be better equipped to maximize my "fun quotient" on the next visit. Can't wait!

I also enjoyed the cheap beer and for the most part the beach setting is right up my alley. I try not to set my goals too high when it comes to "company" as long as it is for one night only. If I had brought my own sand to the beach, well different story.

Recently spent three weeks in PI (end of Dec / beg Jan). Don't really have anything of value to add for Manila or Cebu, just meeting CB girls and hitting on regular girls. Met with WR in Cebu, great guy and willing to help in many ways. Seems to know many girls there. Spent time in Palawan but nothing to add since with a girl. Same for Bantayan Island.

Did spend three nights in Tacloban. Although I had some CB contacts it was completely random. Literally bought a ticket on 30th and flew there on 31st. Stayed at Leyte Park Resort since I assumed it was the nicest place there. Probably was a kickass place 20 years ago but now it's dated, worn down and in serious need of updating. They do have a few villa types with private pools and renovated recently but they go for over US$200 per night. My cottage was around 2600P per night. The seafood restaurant was closed under reno and the regular restaurant served medicore and relatively overpriced food. Did not check out the bar. Several foreigners staying there but all appeared to have come as couples with pinay GF / wives.

Out of about dozen that I texted, more than half did not live in the city or anywhere near it. They admitted they just put Tacloban because they figure guys would recognize it. Of course I hadn't spent much time messaging them beforehand not thinking I would actually go there so no big deal. They all seemed more than willing to catch the bus for couple hrs to meet but being New Years and constant rain seemed to make it difficult. But who really knows. The ones that actually lived in the city all turned up to meet. The girls, at least the ones I met, seemed much more conservative than the girls in Cebu or Manila. Outside of the hotel in places like the mall, I saw virtually no foreigners. Could have been time of the year also.

As far as girls go, the CB girls I met took at least two or three dates before I could get them in bed. I met and spent time with them anyway since I got to do some interesting things (at least for me) like seeing how they live. I mean I really had no idea until I saw the room one of the girls lived in. It was size of a little closet and was meant for two. She slept on a mini makeshift bunkbed with no padding whatsoever. I did peak at a bar with girls wearing plaid school uniform type skirts but did not investigate. The goldmine seems to be the regular girls at malls. I'm an Asian guy in my 30's and I have never had one girl approach me in Manila or Cebu in two trips. In Tacloban, I was constantly getting approached while I was killing time in the malls waiting for CB girls. Now I'm not talking about working girls cruising the mall like I have seen in Cebu or Manila but just regular girls who actually work at the stores. So a caucasian guy should have a field day here theoretically. Because one of the CB girls is a gem I like to see again, I may just go back next trip and work the mall more. May also check out that bar if just to provide info here.

I've gotten girls from a few Sabang discos (Broadway, Venus, Pussycat). All moderate to good to great GFE. But on my last trip I got a quick trickster out of Sabang Disco (coming from the main road into town, it the first one on the left). Barfined her, took her the hotel. She was quick about it, zero GFE, bad attitude, and finished in about 1/2 and hour. Then she puts her clothes on, makes an excuse about having a brother in town who is in trouble and says she has to go. So I say ok and I give her 500 (1000 is expected for overnight). So she complains and I say, ok, lets go talk to your mama. Walk quickly back to Sabang Disco with her babbling on her cellphone behind and find that the mama is equally not interested in customer service. Had to create a scene in front of the disco. To avoid dealing with the small-town cops that they threatened, I paid the 1000 and chalked it up as a bad experience.

But then I walked back and chatted with my hotel guard who had seen the whole thing and he said that there had recently been a similar situation from Sabang Disco with a Japanese guest. Also I realized that some of my friends had gotten girls from there with either bad attitudes or who had tried sob stories to get them to give extra money (like one that wanted to help her parents with a sick cow). Either way, I won't be visiting that disco again.

Anyone planning on going to El Nido? I was in Palawan recently but did not make it all the way to El Nido. I have (2) nights credit at the 5 star resort Miniloc Island that I would like to sell. The credit is PHP9, 430 nett x 2 nights. I will sell it for PHP10, 000.

So many stay at Leyte Park ONCE based on undeserved / outdated reputation. I'd not stay there again. Only thing it has going for it is the pool and the waterfront location.

IMO best hotel in town is Alejandro by a rather wide margin. I've received good recommendations for Rosenvil Pensione but I've not stayed there myself, staying Alejandro again on my trip this week.

Just some Information about Boracay. Just back since Sunday, spend there more than one week and didn't bring any girls.

There are at least 4 places to meet the ladies:

Cocomangas: Its a disco on the main Road opposite Guilys island. Around 10- 20 FL there, partially really good looking. Took 4 evenings FL from there. ST or LT doesn't make any difference regarding price. Prices start with 2. 000 but I paid 2. 500 as well, too horny to refuse and no more bargaining possible.

Summer Place: Between Boatstation 2 and 3 at the walking path. Girls around the same price then Cocomangas. Have been there one time only and picked up two ladies. Bad experience, lots of Donts, so I saif them goodbuy without finishing. But I'm sure to get good girls there as well.

Attention: On the wa to Summerplace some girls will approach you. If you tell them to come with you and enter summerplace most of them will refuse (too loud, too hot inside,.) : These ladies are ladyboys, met some traveller who picked up these "girls", all of them have been ladyboys. Same BTW at Charles Bar, most of them Ladyboys. So take care if don't want to experience this!

Karaoke Bar: Littel bit difficult to find: If you are on the Main Road at station 2 go south until a sign on the right hand side with shows a way to the left side towards Fishermans Farm. Go this way app. 5 min, then you will find a Karaoke Bar on the left hand side. Have been there one time, was asked for ladies but I was too drunken.

Bar after Karaoke Bar. Wen there before I went to Karaoke Bar. Inside ordered a drink and was asked for a girl. Checked the ladies, choose one of them, reall stunner but nice as well. Invited her for a drink, then she told me the price is 3. 500 ST or LT. Too much for me this night, was already too drunken. Definitly wirth a visit.
