It sounds like you contacted Joyeux on WhatsApp, told them you paid the deposit, and then gave them the location for the appointment. The online reservation system is relatively new and was not available to me when I visited in early 2017. They were taking appointments through WhatsApp while I was in Guadalajara in late 2016, but had stopped by the time I returned in early 2017. My guess is that guys were making appointments through WhatsApp and then not showing up.

For Joyeux online system, you fill out the basic questions for time, date and such then there is a comment field where I placed the hours I wanted and motel location. Only motels listed on webpage are accepted. You will be sent to paypal page then receive email confirmation. After email confirmation I was able to communicate by whatsapp. You can also call directly for questions. Its a good way to penalize those mongers that cancel as 500 pesos is not cheap for local earnings. That is one massage with full service.
