In Malate there is Bellagio Square half a block south from Robinson's Place Mall, on Bocobo Street. They often have live band outdoors in a small strip mall that is populated with indoor / outdoor resto / bars.

Near MOA is the open air Blue Wave, and across the street from MOA is The Roadhouse. Of all mentioned so far I think Cowboy Grill gets the best talent, and the one on Remedios in Malate is better than the other in Ermita since it's smaller. A fun show to check out is the Mocha Girls at Cowboy Grill; they appear weekly. You can see clips of their shows on youtube. A legendary band to catch live is Aegus.

I have 2 apartment options for my trip that I found on Airbnb in the 500-650 price range.

1) Knightsbridge Apartment Complex in Century City Makati.

Cons. Sofa Bed, Seems to be a 5-10 minute walk to mall / supermarket, 150 dollars more expensive.

Pros. Very posh, great balcony view, roof deck.

2) Lights Residencies in Mandaluyong.

Cons. Not has nice.

Not sure which one to go with. Leaning option 2 for price and convenience. Although, option one is a panty dropper for sure. And those views.
