I have just came back from a 12 day stint in Kiev, and I have to say its prob the best visit I've had, I've been going to Kiev 2-3 times a year since 2006, this was by far my best visit, maybe the currency helped, maybe the lack of tourism helped, but me and my mate were getting girls left, right and centre, some freebies, and I'm in my 50's, many mamba girls very keen to get acquainted. Met girls on Kreshatyk handing out business cards, freelance girls asking 500/600 grivna, fit girls as well.
On the other side of the coin many Ukrainians complaining that lack of tourism is giving them big problems. We went to kievsco larva the religious place near arsenala, many people there moaning not enough tourists, even Russian tourists who are big tippers. I bought 10 apple iPhones which were from a proper apple retail shop, they are up to 120 cheaper than uk. I bought a load of local currency for my next trip, the rate was fantastic.
There is a new shooters in Podil, just next to ploshtova ploshcha metro, its 24 hours also and is a great place to hang out, really with the exchange rate being what it is, nows the time to go, don't be put off, we also visited the olympic stadium the full tour was 50 grvna, I bought a dynamo Kiev training top there, I noticed at night when I wore it, that walking thru maidan to get to our apartment I was warmly greeted, when I wasn't wearing the top I got a few stares etc, etc, no problems but just a bit off putting late at night.
Go to Kiev with confidence, beautiful city, beautiful people. I'm a rockabilly guitarist, and now I notice a rockabilly scene emerging in Kiev, young people all tattooed and wearing 50's clothes, getting into the music etc, its really great to see.
Many thanks pal, it is getting me exciting)) today I'm flyinmg. Police asks passport? I am very afraid to carry my passport with me, I am sometimes drunk at night with girls and out of contreol. Probably one of the biggest problem to lost your passport. Copy of passport enough like old happy Kiev days? P.S. I only can go for 2 days ((longer holidays (mean 4-5 days) I prefer to visit asia.
PS :
I" There is a new shooters in Podil, just next to ploshtova ploshcha metro"
what is this ? please give me more detail. another n,ght club similar with shoothers?
Probably one of the biggest problem to lost your passport. Copy of passport enough like old happy Kiev days?
When traveling Europe, you always have to carry your passport with you. That's nothing specific to the Ukraine.
ID-Card would be fine too, but a 'drivers license' is not accepted as ID-Card. When you are loosing it, you will spend extra time at the city going to your Embassy.
A photocopy is just worth a sheet of toilet paper.

The Podil area is very beautiful, and is considered to be the new "in place" to wine and dine etc, late at night after 23.00 it becomes quiet.
I hear Putin is sending armor to Eastern Ukraine, this will eventually be doing to Kiev. Are any of you going to be leaving Kiev sometime soon? Is it really safe enough or cheap enough? What is the deal with Arena City? Is it working fine? The pros are plenty or more beautiful than last time? How is the electricity and water supply? By Fall / wWnter beginning, I imagine the situation will deteriorate even more than it is now.
All is quiet in Kiev, kreshatyk itself is a bit of an eyesore, barricades, tents, tyres stacked up etc, etc, business as usual, but in Maidan if you are forced to walk thru it because maybe your apartment is up the hill is a bit off putting late at night, no big deal but just a bit. Thats why I started wearing my dynamo Kiev top in the night, never got any funny looks at all wearing that, I wear it because I'm a fan of dynamo, not to mix in with the locals, but it occurred to me that it was a good way to be anonymous if that's what you want.
Met some really attractive girls who were camped there and part of the die hard defences, its very strange to see this.
Returned to my favourite salon Dolly on Pushkinskaya street. My favourite girl there was Oxana who, I've been told by the girl on the phone was "sacked" for offering services other than massage, anyway I chose dasha, a lean, white skinned size 6, what a toned hard body and filthy looking. I seen her once in the salon, then had her and her friend come to our apartment, no extra charge for taxi as it was close to the salon. I would highly recommend this girl. We had some good fun in the apartment, drinks and a bit of banter, another girl I would recommend is julia, very heavy tits but well formed, very pretty girl, very sensual. I love these massages places because if a plan goes wrong on the street or a girl messes you about and does not show up, then you have the massage salons to rely on, and with the exchange rate being what it is, we were getting 30 min massages for literally $16, or 12 euros, now that's cheap, value for money, where else could you have a young hard bodied student giving you this service for such a price?
Fantastic. I highly recommend salon Dolly.
I visited ambrazura today. Great pşace, sauna, pool, there are 10 girls about, and time was 24.00. I opened 2 bottles of martini champaigne, 2 beers, 1,5 hours ith 2 girls, lezbi show and sex with both and paid about 500 bucks. I think they charged me more than normal, but I only stay here 2 nights and doesn't matter. I like it. You must visit there if you are not satisfied only by hand job.

Yes, I'm actually leaving Ukraine and not returning until 2015 when I hope the situation stabilizes a bit more. Love it here but I've been in Kyiv since before the protests began last fall and enough is enough. Kyiv is safe and calm now but the East of Ukraine is a war zone. Putin is not sending armor to Kyiv.
As for your other questions, by Western standards Kyiv is very cheap, depending on what you want to do, however. Clubs and strip clubs are not cheap. You asked about electricity and water supply which is baffling; I think you have Kyiv and Crimea mixed up completely. As for how the situation will evolve, you can ask 10 different Ukrainians and you will get 10 different responses because no one knows for sure.

I am sad to hear you will be leaving Kiev. Was looking forward to meeting up with you and having a shot of Woodford Reserve. My return is still a few months away and the cease-fire seems to be supported by Putin. Still it will take some time for the region to recover. I have been sending out messages to the Mamba girls and have received some positive results. Still it would have been better had I had the opportunity to hang out with you and to have you show me around. My offer still stands, so please PM me.
All the best to you CB.

You mean the political situation interferes with your daily life in Kiev? How so?
As someone who has been looking for ways to move to Kiev for a while, the recent report that Ukraine may have a travel visa deal with EU concerns me greatly.
In any case, move there or not, I feel like getting back there asap when the exchange rate is good.

I agree.
I see a new price structure on their website. Interesting. There used to be no 30 min. erotic massage offered.
Oksana? Didn't she become a manager there after working as a masseuse? Or a different Oksana?
Another manager who also worked as a masseuse before and who may have fired OKsana offered me services other than masssage, too, LOL.

How much was it for the Champagne, each bottle?
I know at sex clubs in Poland its not obligatory to but Lady drinks, but it does help to build a bit of chemistry with the girl of your fancy before you head to the bedroom. And in this case buying a bottle to a hot girl works out cheaper than buying single drinks and less chance of being overcharged as you know beforehand how much the bottle costs?
