It behaves more like Mumps, Rubella, Measles, which also mutate slowly (compared to a fast mover like the flu). We've had vaccinations for these for 40+ years and only need them infrequently.

Not many clubs are open in Germany, so it may be more a problem in Austria and Switzerland when they are also Romania land, but my guys were blocked on Hungarian border when coming back from holidays at home in Romania. German sauna clubs with face masks, social distancing, and sanitising, are a lot less risky than most public settings in my home country. The risky part of a trip is the part in my home country.
