As far as the trip goes, checked out two mileroticos girls in advance. One wanted $200 USD per hour; the other quoted 200 K COP per hour. They were both in the same building in Torices, which seems to be hooker central. The 200 K girl was not the girl in the ad, and did not provide the services in the ad (I. E. Anal), but she was beautiful and sucked and fucked well enough to make me happy. Nice building, clean apt. With minimal decor, and at least one other girl working there (not present). She works for a "company", which obviously provides the place. We talked a little, went out to dinner, and agreed on an overnight rate for my hotel of around $250-275 USD (million COP). Had to register her, but that wasn't a problem, we hade a good night, and since I couldn't bring another girl back, after breakfast in the morning we agreed to another 24 hrs. Beach, pool, room, a couple of nice meals, and in the morning she went home. Totally satisfactory for me. Last day I spent alone doing tourist stuff during the day in centro. I did go to the Bazurto market mentioned in an earlier tweet. Those unfamiliar with local markets in developing countries may find it a bit too "authentic".

The last night I went to the Clock Tower Pub to watch a bowl game and had the opportunity to see the area on a weekend night. Everything is lit up for the holidays and, hookers aside, it is a great time to visit. I'm old, my girl had me drained, and especially since I didn't have a place I really wasn't interested in picking anyone up. There were certainly girls available, some very good-looking, but overall the crowd seemed to be overwhelmingly civvie, even at midnight. I stopped into Space around 11:30 and it was half-empty. Maybe 20 girls, mostly average-looking, and fewer than 10 guys. The only really long line was for Quimico. I suspect a lot of girls may have gone home for new year's, or that LE tries to keep things clean for the holiday season, but the whole scene seemed a lot more "family-friendly" than I remembered from my first visit in June.

I have been practicing my Spanish with software, and it functional but less than fully conversational. I enjoyed having the opportunity to use it in restaurants, stores, Ubers, etc. , but after a while I found it really draining spending a couple of days with a girl who doesn't speak any English. If you aren't a Spanish speaker and you are thinking of coming down and finding a temporary GF, be sure you are really comfortable with Google Translate.

Finally, I have an Airbnb that permits visitors, but it wasn't available. I absolutely will not do another visit unless I know I have a place with a good bed and adequate facilities where I can bring a girl (or two) whenever I want.

I went on arguably the slowest weekend (closed Christmas eve) & the locals told me it was only 30-40% of the max girls, so the volume and quality will be better. I think 3 days is plenty to get enough. If you make trips to the islands, or Barranquilla or comfortable to explore more than 5 days max. 2 night time runs should be enough to have 7 or 8 girls on your roster to choose from during the day time.

Aparentemente street prostitution is now suspended in Cartagena in the historic center around the clock tower. I already knew Cartagena was garbage but now it's even more garbage than before LOL.

It is not a fallback.

It seems that after Help closed in 2009, a significant % of our community stopped going (even though it's still a great destination). And São Paulo has never had a lot of American tourists.

Well, from my last post when my chica warned me no to come for Christmas she was spot on with all the shit that happened in Medellin and Cartegena I was far away.

Told my chica ill be there is 2 weeks and she sends me these links and looks like the party is over for the loudmouths who like to walk around the clocktower looking for attention and go into those 3 main clubs and be extra loud for no reason. They one who know how to use the apps and be subtle of what they're doing will be unaffected. Me Personally I'm just popping in, picking up my chica and off to Santa Martha while trying not to get by them damn speed traps along the way. Personally ill give it 6 months and see if it goes back to regular but I guessing too many people were going missing in Cartegena and getting trafficked to Panama, placed on a cargo ship to somewhere and sold similar to how that plane full of Indians from Dubai heading to Nicaragua and I bet allot of them were going to disappear once they hit Juarez (all Venezuelan chicas I knew that came through Juarez tells me the craziest stories, its like a feeding frenzy for cops, cartel, robbers, other migrants).

A few of my chicas are super tight about this because they can't make extra money, but I know they will be ok on the Apps. So no more Space (for now) and she also told me Dolce Vita is also closed but the main problem we all know is Delirium, no word on that yet from her.

Prices are now borderline ridiculous in Cartagena for an Airbnb / hotel. I don't know what happened, but everything is double or more compared to what I was paying even a year ago. I guess there's an influx of foreigners.

I could understand Miami. But Cartagena!? Still in Colombia, not worth it. There's too many other places in Colombia. I wouldn't spend more than a few days there now. But I imagine others will think like this too and prices will normalize eventually. Girls probably won't be able to charge as much now because there's too many that want the club experience and they might just be put off altogether.

Instagram links to Facebook, and it uses the same credentials. I did not post screenshots because just about everyone I know in this hobby has a fake facebook (meeting girls in Medellin) and a fake Instagram (Tinder / Hinge photo feed integration) to meet girls from dating apps.

Got info from another chica this morning. She said Dolce was open last night and the new Mayor just put up the signs of the clubs "closed until further notice" to take pictures. Propaganda I suppose. But I'll be there for MLK weekend and see for myself.

Prostitution is a legal right. The only way to fully end prostitution is to change the country law and make it illegal. So one mayor's attempt to spark up the city and get his approval ratings up the first few weeks will fail. The girls will and still are walking around the center and just get picked when they are walking or standing still. All this is doing is stopping the girls from standing in the clock tower, nothing more. And because social media is picking up on it, it's sending the message worldwide to stop mongers from coming to Cartagena and that will work. Some will change their destinations.

As for the closing of Space, I think it's a political stunt of some kind. I heard that Delirium and Dolce Vita were open last night. So how do you close one club in the same building as another but leave one open? Seems a little fishy to me. Like maybe an owner forgot to grease some palms. One of 6 clubs was closed. The girls are already talking and moving to the other lesser known clubs and the guys will follow. The police are hanging around telling girls to just move along, no standing around the clubs. No problem. The girls go inside or to another club. The girls that will mostly be affected by these measures are the girls with no proper ID. They will be too scared to come to the center. But the girls with proper ID will still come cause they are not doing anything illegal. Girls will not carry drugs on them anymore cause they might get stopped just for annoyance and searched.

All this reminds me of Sosua before covid when a new mayor that came in shutdown the clubs and bars. It lasted like one week or two and everything was back to normal. The local businesses protested too cause they were affected with no mongers spending money.

And this isn't the first time Cartagena has done something like this. It seems every year around the holidays there's this heavy police presence cause tourist come to se the decorations and Cartagena and shit. Once schools open back up and tourist families can't travel to Cartagena as much, and the decorations are removed, things go back to normal.

Will things slow down, yeah, a little as girls reposition to another location. Will clubs stay closed for good? Hell no. The money that flows into the club and money that is laundered through the club will need to continue. There are big powers at play there. Not saying the city needs monger money but someone else might need that money for other things. Wink if you understand me.

Just are just my thoughts and speculations. But I seriously doubt a mayor will eradicate prostitution in his 4 yr stint in the office. The bad part about all this is that all those extra police in the center could be useful in other main parts of the city to make the locals more safer. But the locals don't see it like that. In some IG posts they are all happy and want the center back to it's beautiful self. But the minute a killing happens in their neighborhood, the first thing out their mouths are where are the police when you need them.
