To me the prices in Cartagena have always been ridiculous compared to the rest of Colombia.

But when they closed that club, away went all the "hang-out" type mongers. Sure prostitution is still legal in Rio, but it is not the type of prostitution that most foreigner vacation guys would go there for.

Or I should say those who negotiate can probably get those chica back down to before covid prices of 200 -250 pesos. And if you're good that price could be for 2-4 hours and maybe even overnight. YMMV.

With girls having to walk around now, in the heat I might add, they are willing to accept far less than what they were quoting in the clubs. Cause now they outside with the girls that already accept less, so competition is bound to happen. Some will shoot their shoot at $200 USD and someone will bite. Just try to negotiate if you can.

Along with that, mongers will also be out in the streets more. So have your head on a swivel. No need for jewelry or fancy watches and for that matter, fancy name-brand close. Walmart t-shirts work just fine. LOL. If more clubs close, that means less money probably for the girls and less to go around to the novios they have at home. People might start to get desperate when faced with hunger at home. So just be careful.

It seems every year around the holidays there's this heavy police presence cause tourist come to se the decorations and Cartagena and shit. Once schools open back up and tourist families can't travel to Cartagena as much, and the decorations are removed, things go back to normal.

Locals have been complaining about the open sex trade for years, and Dumek is listening to them. It's an easy way to score political points, while not affecting that many people. The local sex trade is very private and it's much bigger than what tourists see. It's ok because it isn't in the nicest part of the city and can be ignored. I'm in private telegram groups with hundreds of men and working girls. Girls that you would never see downtown because it would embarrass their family if someone were to catch them. That's the real trade. What we do is nothing in the grand scheme of things.

The girls may move into Bocagrande if they need somewhere to stand or further into walled city. Just away from Cartagena's crown jewel.

Street prostitution is not illegal. If it was illegal in Cartagena, it would have to be illegal in the whole country. Rather, The mayor is trying to force it out of the center (downtown), or the words they used "suppress" it in the center.

I just heard from girls on the street that all clubs in El Centro are closed. Girls are walking the streets but it's a normal slow Wed night and the aren't many guys around, so the girls are going home. Girls are starting to get worried now cause they don't know when they going to eat again. Looks like they are going to have to lower their prices to start to attract the mongers back to the Cartagena.
