Maybe those freaking out and horrified even by the touch, risk to show an attitude that for the LB becomes a challenge to capture you just for the sake of "winning a straight man" (and add a potential customer in their bar and ST portfolio).

You get more of the call out and it seems like you can't shake the attention as easily. Obviously, at night you are one amongst hundreds of targets so it feels less agressive. Agressive maybe the wrong word as well. So, I agree. It's safe but more in your face.

I prefer Nana to SC so I'm there almost every night when I'm in BKK and I've almost squared off a couple of times with large LB's. Almost without fail one will get in my face on every pass and in fact they often seem to behave with an unbelievable sense of immunity to the negative effects of their aggressive interactions. Anyway, what are you doing on the upper floors in the daytime?

I am too bothered by arm grabbing, but this is not related to the sex (genuine or appearing) , it is a nuisance. Period!
Still when I walked on the upper floors in dark hours there was not the flow of people you have in the ground floor.
Definetely the guys / boys "greeting" you at the top of the escalator, trying to guide you through the entrance of "their" bar, on the right, are more aggressive than the LB's eating, waiting, sitting, standing along the walkways.
I have also been quoted 2500 shortime about 3 weeks ago in Shark. By IMO the cutest girl in the place. I smiled and said that wasn't going to work and offered 1500 just for the hell of it, and after a while where she and I wouldn't budge, we said goodbye.
I looked for her on my next visit (did I mention she is hot?) , smiled and called her down, proposed 1500 with a laugh, she countered with 2000 and I took her home.
This was the first time I've heard that price quoted for ST in a gogo; I haven't seen girls quoting this in Shark before or since. If enough people walk away, it won't spread.

Bar fine 600.
ST 2000.
LT 4000.
It does not mean one has to pay that, things are often negotiable as we know.
But it is a fact that the way the price is presented (as a clear fact) , the many visitors not aware of the scene, I rate 90% go out with a girl having "agreed" that price.
Good or bad this can be.
I have no problem laughing with LBs on my way to bars but I would agree that they are much more "aggressive" than the average girl. Arm grabbing, calling for you, sometimes hugging or grabbing your dick (a common gay move you will also experience in gay bars). Personally this makes me laugh, but I can see how it can make some people uncomfortable.
Sometime newbies might read "aggressive" as "dangerous", which they aren't (unless you are an idiot and you make an homophobic comment or push them away, etc). But they certainly ask for your business with a strong determination. LOL.
I think LBs understand that they -need- to be more aggressive. After all a significant part of their customers can't admit to others or themselves that they are into it. Many of their clients don't want to tell themselves the next day 'there was this LB minding her own business and I went and actively asked her to do me'. They have to be channeled into the bar and almost physically forced to do it, then they can think "well she wouldn't stop insisting and I just went along with it". Add to that the drunk guys they can grab and take home before they realize what happened.
I visited a LB bar for the first time in Patpong about 2 weeks ago. Inside a LB bar, the aggressiveness is also very high compared to the average gogo. You sit down at a table and the whole freaking bar staff, I kid you not, like 20-30 "ladies", come in front of your table and shouts at you "me me me" until you choose a "lady" to sit down with you and have a drink. They do not stop until you do. Just a barrage of shouting. I've never seen anything like it. And again I think it is down to business. If they didn't do this, too many people would come with friends and gawk, but nobody would pull the trigger and invite someone down. This way at least they make money on drinks, and they get a shot at convincing you to barfine them (and boy, do they try...lol). It's not a bad experience to do with friends. Most of these LBs are very nice people, and fun to interact with if you are not negative about it.

You will find a couple food vendors and trinket sellers there targeting the gogo girls. I've met a couple sweeties in my time who were there before their bar opened. They are not all dolled up and often are just eating, getting their hair and makeup done. I was just curious and walked up. A simple smile and Hello, and I found myself talking to a sweetie. I liked her and asked which bar she worked at which was Lollipop. After a while I asked if I could barfine her now, before her shift for a long time. Negotiated 3000bt (low season) and we went to the and I settled up barfine right then and there. Back to the room for an ok time then back out in the evening to see her friends who were working. Bought ladysdrink rounds there for her friends but generally had a great time.
It's not everyones approach but it worked for me. At the end of the post, I also said I found the LB pretty agressive but really it's because you're the only white walking around.
What I would tell someone:
Patpong: overpriced and tired. Best place to visit is SOL and do that during the day. Pay a little extra and get fully serviced in open view across the mall. There is something magical when, after you have your first drink and get your opening gropes in, telling the girl that you will have her mount you in public. These girls work a miracle with the mouths but hell, the will ride you silly. I just love how the turn down the lights before the act. Ingenious really, it only protects you since there not enough light for some asshole to take a cellphobe pic of you and the girl. The night market is ok. Another great tip is asking those girls who take the vacation
Surveys. I had two in my life. Sure my name is orange. Last name crust. My cell number is. I give my mongering sim card number. Yes, I am renting a condo but I say that I own it. NEP: heaven on earth. Perfect balance of grittiness and non-touristy feel. My favourite bar is carnival but Angel Witch has the best music.
And shows. I love buying jumbo singhas from the girl outside angle witch. Cheap beer and for some reason she reminded me of one of my first girlfriends ever. Other than the fact that this girl is Thai opposed to being pasty white and this girl wasn't saving it till marriage. Wow, to think that's when I first got into the scene. It's all because my first serious girlfriend.
Is probably still a virgin today and I have more tags then a WWII fighter. Again, I degress.
Soi Cowboy. Take saddlebags of money. I like baccarra and Suzy Wongs. Actually, only two places I go to on the strip. Here I play it like all the other tourists and end up paying too much. Once saw a baccarra girl and I was invited into the bar before they opened. She got her monthly salary from the owner. Wild to watch the respect the bar owner got. Girls gathered in different groups and sat in front of the bar owner. He called each over and she basically kneed in front of him. Got her envelope and bowed deeply and ran back to her place. After I asked her who that was, papasan? She said, no big boss. Guess who she was calling big boss that night? I keep rambling.
I've got my own style, I'm not bitter or hardened. I like seeing the same girl over and over again unless she plays games. And in all but one case eventually they play games. I cut them lose from the my action but I still visit them in their bars. Strange how you can just move on and keep a friendship going. Maybe they get bored because you get bored.

I saw a female taxi driver (the first I have seen in Thailand) that was really my type. I was there talking to her about 30 minutes then we exchanged information. After that I thought so much for P4P on this Soi ever again. Since we have been seeing each other she calls me Big Boss. I was never able to get back with her because I did not have a local SIM back then plus I failed to get her contact info.
