Well got back into Rio on Sunday morning, and the plan was a nice breakfast and a good snooze to prepare myself for my maiden trip to the famous Vila Mimosa.

And that's exactly what I did, waking up rested and ready to go.

Since I left my hotel in Leblon early, at about 3 pm, I figured I had time to take a stroll down the street paralleling the beach.

Hadn't done that yet.

Fun to people watch, and getting to know the area a little.

I'm used to leaving my hotel in Sao Paulo knowing the city like the back of my hand.

Now in Rio, I'm basically lost, LOL, but learning more every day.

Anyway, after getting directions from various people along the way, I made my way to the Metro for my trip to VM.

Followed Bubba's Metro guidance, then grabbed a taxi and 7 R later, I'm there.

My first impressions of VM:

-Smaller area than expected.

-Not nearly as nasty as expected, been to way worse in SP and other places in South and Central America.

Don't get me wrong, you should be on guard at VM for sure, but if you take the usual precautions and you're not an idiot, you'll be fine.

The most danger I felt was on my way home to the beach area.

I think my motorista was sh. T faced drunk, I almost bailed out, LOL.

Anyway, back to the VM event.

Since it was my first time there, I took a walk about the area, checking out the scene.

As I walked past all the barzinhos (little bars), of course I stuck my head in checking out the available garotas.

On my first pass I spotted 2 or 3 that I liked, but wanted to talk to each of them first, before selecting.

I finally settled on a sexy hot mulata. Though she was shy, which is kinda funny with her working out there, she did have a sweet personality.

And she was a sexy little thing, 20 years old.

We talked a bit, had a suco together, then went upstairs for some fun.

Pretty good time, though she wasn't quite a "safada", just seeing her naked and caressing her body was great.

Room not bad, fresh sheets, with a fan.

62 R for 40 minutos.

Afterwards I walked around a bit, flirted a bit, actually sat and ate a few espetinhos and fries.

Afterwards we sat at a table and ordered a plate of cut salami and water.

She asked me if I was coming back and if I had WhatsApp, etc.

Not because I'm a stud or anything like that, but because I'm nice, I bathe and I'm sure she feels like I've got more dinheiro than these other dudes milling around for cheap feels, LOL.

Okay, now it's about 11 pm or so, my new VM girlfriend haha, calls it a night and goes home, so I make a couple more circuits around and call it a night as well, and find my taxi home.

Overall, I enjoyed the VM experience.

Nothing to be afraid of, but keep your guard up.

Like other guys have said, lots of fuglys out there, but some gems as well.

Next up is a trip to another T1 Terma, not sure which one yet.

So your saying the girls would only get paid for one programma but would have to fuck 4 different guys? Why in the world would any female agree to that?

Before Help existed, the girls just hung around in different cafes along Atlantica -- Mabs, Meia Petaca and a few others as well as clubs like Erotica and Barbarella. When Help got going, it sort of killed the cafe scene scene -- only a few skanks were still in the cafes and then almost none. Now, it seems that with nowhere else to go, it has reverted to the cafe scene. Everything old is new again. Now when do some more termas open up? Still miss L'uomo and Rio Antigo.

I know you veterans have more to do than to answer some basic questions from a newbie but any help is appreciated.

I'm headed to Rio and I've been learning a little Portuguese (very basic stuff). I've been to Rio in 2002 but I know things have changed drastically. Is Mabs the new Help? What places of debauchery would you suggest and what's the general price? Also any escort and spa advise? And from what I've read it seems like VM should be avoided until I get more fluent in Portuguese and a little more comfortable with the city. Any help is appreciated.

Avoid VM with no portuguese or unless accompanied by someone who speaks alot more than you.
