Couldn't find info
I tried looking through the first few pages of the Philippines forums, but couldn't find the answer to my question:
Where's the best to hobby (selection quality / price) in the Philippines? I'm guessing it's in Angeles City.
I've tried looking through the first few pages of the Angeles City forum, but most of the topics right now are about covid, best hobbying times, and condoms. I saw one guy post about 1500 peso hunting on dating apps, but don't know if those are realistic expectations for your average touring hobbyist.
I appreciate the help. I know some info on hobbying in Thailand (my last visit was 1 yr ago), US, and Mexico. So happy to share info if you need.
Where's the best to hobby (selection quality / price) in the Philippines? I'm guessing it's in Angeles City.
If you're budget oriented like a harddiscounter AC is hard to beat for sure.
But if you're looking for quality value for money I think Manila is hard to beat *IF* you take the time to prepare you trip, and invest time in finding girls on dating app for ex.
If you're a PH virgin, I'd suggest 3/4 days in AC, 5 days in Manila and 4 days in Cebu.
Currently it's so hard to enter PH unless you're one of the lucky few with visa, (I read there is a cap of 2500 entries per day at NAIA) that you probably have time to prepare your trip.

Soooo. That's depressing
Travel after vaccines. Maybe. Couple of articles, says to early to tell if recent vaccines will stop infection. These vaccines may stop symptoms only.
https://ca.news.yahoo.com/said-no-evidence-covid-19-115511010.html
https://www.abc.net.au/news/health/2020-11-24/do-coronavirus-vaccines-prevent-infection-or-disease/12905654
"At the moment I don't believe we have the evidence of any of the vaccines to be confident that it's going to prevent people from actually getting the infection and therefore being able to pass it on," Swaminathan told a virtual briefing, in comments reported by Axios. Swaminathan was responding to a question about whether vaccinated people should still be required to quarantine when traveling to countries with lower transmission rates. "I think until we know more, we need to assume that people who have been vaccinated also need to take the same precautions until there is a certain level of herd immunity that's been built in the population," she said.
And.
Moderna's chief medical officer, Tal Zaks, said last month that he believed it was likely the vaccine would prevent transmission but warned that there was not yet "sufficient evidence" of it. "When we start the deployment of this vaccine we will not have sufficient concrete data to prove that this vaccine reduces transmission," he told "Axios on HBO." "I think it's important that we don't change behavior solely on the basis of vaccination."
I would think that countries like PI are struggling so badly that they would welcome westerners with open arms as long as they're vaccinated. The only bottleneck on travel at this point is worldwide vaccination and people's willingness to take it. Personally I hope we get a card that lets us travel freely. I'm really missing my bi-yearly two-week-millionaire trips to PI.
Given the above, and the 'western' countries' considerably higher rates of transmission (and death, see US rates) and the above information, I would think PI would more wisely ban people from any country with a higher rate of infection, even the vaccinated, until it can be shown that the vax prevents transmission. Until it can be shown to stop transmission, the swab, mask, and social distancing will be "a thing".

There are discussions from some members incl myself on the best places and the ones we would not return to again. Plus chats on bars, prices, where to stay, even the cuties.
So there is plenty there if you want to RTFF and not go back 3 pages of the AC thread for example as we have Manila, Cebu, Davao, Duma, CDO, Baguio and everything in between each with their quirks.
And you do seem to ask a lot of questions (just a comment based on your FR history of 44).
Happy 2021 everyone. Hopefully won't be as bad as this year.

Moderna is rated at 94% efficacy & Pfizer at 95%. The Astra Zeneca vaccine is rated at only 62% effective. Forget A. Z.
So, there is significant statistical probability that even a Pfizer vaccinated traveler with a recent negative Corona test result and no temperature upon arrival could be carrying the virus and infect the local population. That means the governments of the PI, Thailand, and Indonesia are not likely going to end their quarantines and start letting foreign travelers into their country until their own populations have been inoculated. They just ain't going to do it.
Now I don't know what the rollout timetable is for the PI, but Mini, my #1 in BKK, told me that the Thai government is telling its citizens that Corona vaccine inoculations will begin in BKK in May. So, if this roll out happens on time, it will still take months, maybe 6 months or longer for 60% to 70% of the Thai population to be inoculated and for the country to achieve 'herd immunity. " So, I am hoping I will be allowed back into the Kingdom (no quarantine) in October or November, but I wouldn't bet on it, ha ha, IE buy an Airline ticket just yet.
Closer to home, I am wondering when the fuck I will have the opportunity to get the vaccine in the good ol' USA. The higher ups in the US Government have stated publicly that anyone that wants a vaccine will be able to get one by May. Based on my age, I am thinking I might be able to get one by the end of March. I hope so because I am planning to fly down to Brazil in April, and I do not want to cancel that trip. Keep in mind that Brazil is open (no quarantine) now. I have friends that are there now and having a great time as I write this, IE fucking their brains out, but I am going to play it safe and wait until I get the shots. I know that they are 95% effective and thus are not 100% guarantied, but I can live with 5% risk. I am not going to live another year like 2020.
To sum up my tentative plans; Brazil in the spring 2021, Thailand in the late fall 2021, and the PI sometime in 2022.
Have a great 2021!
All is not gloom and doom. If you go on PL, there are bargains to be had and for general mongering purposes, that will probably suffice.
Now she has a global audience. Kinda like how Bezos' wealth has multiplied during the pandemic. Your 10 k peso offer for a root wouldn't cover their drinks bill after a photo shoot
Don't forget that these girls are making AND burning through cash at a prodigious rate. Her willingness to accept the 10 k offer may be very variable and heavily influenced by her situation at that point at time. Just because the OP got a knockback once does not mean she will refuse again at some point in the future.
I know a promo girl in Cebu who eagerly accepted my standard 3 k LT offer once only to laugh me off the next visit.

I'd actually put as a more expensive place to stay.
Girls are cheaper in the provinces.
Equivalent quality hotels are cheaper in MNL and CEB.
Western food is plentiful but at near western prices and pretty low quality.
Having said that, assuming AC survives Covid, then it's a must do once for a newbie. The OP splitting his time between a few cities would be good. Cebu can take a little bit of time to find ones feet but it's the online hook up center of the PI and resembles shooting fish in a barrel.
Enjoy. G.

I mentioned I read through the first few pages (AC and Manila) to point out that I tried RTFF. If you don't find the answer you're looking for after looking through 6 pages worth of posts, I think it's acceptable to ask people who are more knowledgeable and active. No, I'm not surprised that people are talking about COVID. The only reason I mentioned it was to show yes, I did read, but did not find what I was looking for. I'm not sure what your level of acceptable RTFF is. I'm sure the info is there. But I didn't want to read through 10+ pages when someone else probably has an answer on the tip of their tongue. That person is obviously not you. Search features in these forums usually suck balls.
I'm not as active here because I don't travel as much as I'd like. I usually post when I'm researching a trip or coming back from one. Which is why I only have 44 posts.

Thanks for the tip. I've done the trip to Vietnam and Thailand. Done plenty of homework before the trips to figure out the best watering holes and enjoyed both trips. Thoroughly enjoyed Thailand more due to the plethora of selections and venues (e. G. Nana, Soi Cowboy, Pattaya Walking St, etc).
I searched to see what costs are like in AC:
Short time: 1,500 – 2500 Peso.
Long Time: 2,500 – 4000 Peso.
Is that about right?
I've tried dating sites when I visited Thailand without much success. It was just much easier to go to the bars (esp Thermae Cafe) to find the girl of the night. I think the biggest problem with the dating apps was that I really didn't find many girls I was attracted to. And the ones I was attracted to were probably so popular, they hardly reply unless you have a really nice profile and / or opening message.

You have 3 different areas, AC, Manila and Cebu which attracts 3 different mongers.
In addition since covid all previous bets are off. Not sure how any foreigner would get into PH now since the lock out.
Lots of conjecture but no facts.
Please detail what type of monger you are and what exactly you would like. I personally like AC and don't care for the other 2 areas for mongering.

Sure, fair question. These questions are for when travel opens back up. Probably later in 2021. I'm guessing there will be countries that allow easier travel once the vaccine is more readily available, and if people can show they were vaccinated. Of course that's conjecture. Anyways, the plan is to travel once things ease up.
I've visited Thailand 3 times in the past 4 years and loved the bar scenes there. Especially how intimate you can get and gauge interest / chemistry before selecting a girl and taking her to your hotel. I usually enjoy long time sessions at night and hit up soapland massages for daytime fun while I was in Thailand.
Most likely, I suspect my visit to PI will start in AC. I'll probably visit for 2 weeks, and head over to Thailand for a week. So maybe a week in AC, then a week in BKK, then back to PI, probably Manila. But I'll keep my plans flexible, and if I'm having the time of my life in PI, I probably won't hop over to Thailand.
This was similar to how I did my trip to Vietnam. Cut my time short in VN because I felt like the Thailand monger scene was livelier.
BTW, that price quote was for AC. I haven't looked up costs and venues in other areas yet. I'm still pretty early in my research.

AC bars have been shut down since covid and may never come back the same. Current ones have converted to restaurant sports bar like operations with windows. No more skimpy bargirl outfits and dressed as waitresses.
I imagine your guess of ST and LT rates are in the ball park. I just don't know how you would make contact. Some say it is all online now.
There are economy hotels near walking street. Personally on my next visit I will live it up at ABC Hotel. I believe when AC opens back up it will be FL on walking street instead of inside the bars. The go to night club High Society has closed down for good on walking street. It used to have plenty of FL there. In all my years I have never been to HS, I am usually in bed with one or two girls by 11 pm.
I have no idea how the Manila or Makati bars will revive themselves.
You can YouTube Angeles City bars to get an idea of the previous layout.

Who knows what will happen post covid but I don't know anyone that is predicting a dramatic improvement in enjoyment levels nor pricing.
Reports of online and freelance successes vary tremendously. Some enjoy and use them a lot. Others find them a waste of time. Giving them a try is the only way to find out.

So much for that:
"A San Diego nurse who received the Pfizer vaccine during the initial rollout was diagnosed with a COVID-19 infection on Dec. 26, despite being vaccinated more than a week earlier. Matthew W. , works as an Emergency Room attendant in two separate Southern California hospitals, and only noted that after receiving the vaccine, his arm was sore but had no other side effects. Then, on Christmas Eve, following a shift in a COVID-19 unit, Matthew became ill, with symptoms including chills, muscle aches and fatigue. On Dec. 26, he tested positive for COVID-19."
