AB still has alot of very good looking chicas especially at night. Plus they ALL will arriba, just like at CC. They dont have the number of dancing girls that HK does since they only have one main stage.
HK is more set up like a American strip club, alot of the hottest chicas are just for show like the sash girls. They will drink and flirt with you but you (at several bucks a drink), cant go upstairs and fuck them (lapdance maybe). Several of HK meseros have to be watched closely or theyll shortchange you or charge you for crap like chips
All AB chicas will go for $40-60 per 1/2 hour arriba while most of the HK chicas will agree to 60 or less if they arriba at all, some will shoot for 80 or 100 hoping you're a sucker after buying them 1-4 drinks and maybe a booth privado or vip room dance.

I was in Tijuana Friday night and Saturday.
I took the Amtrak from the Ana Station, $42.00 R/T, and trolley $2.50 R/T. It takes about three hours total.
Checked into the hotel on Ave, Revo that I stay, $350 pesos per night ($28.00). Dropped my bag into the hotel and walked to the zona.
I was with an amigo who enjoys Adelita's so most of this weekend was spent there. Friday night it was crowded, more than two weeks ago. It seemed that there were fewer standing in hottie central, and some new talent. Overall the talent was up, with many pretty ladies I have not seen before
Another friend wanted to go to HK, so we went over there. Pretty typical Friday night in HK. While IMO, the HK ladies aren't as hot as AB, you get more "bang" for the buck. There was very few "hottie cnetral" types of women, but still an ample supply of good looking women. I sessoned with a real star fish from AB. I had been with her before, but never again.
Off to Las Chavelas, and not much in the way of good looking women. It is always worth a stop in because there is sometimes a diamond in the rough.
The street scene was way down this weekend. It seemed to be down over 50% during the day, and 30% at night. I'm not a biggie on street women, but the ladies that were out seemed fairly agressive, which at times they don't with me. It could be they see me enough to know I don't go with them, or they don't really like fat old gringo's like me.
I walked back to Ave. Revo about 3:00 AM. Each night. No problems encountered, as I walked in the street. It is not something I would recommend though for most.
Saturday was much like Friday night. Went to Taco Bell for lunch, six tacos and two Pepsi's for $4.00. It is on Ave. Onethe walking street just past the Wax Museum. I had a hot dog at the corner for a late night snack.

I noticed that Sanbournes Restuarant, and the restaurant in Caesar's had both closed. I guess a sign of the times for Tijuana. There was not as many gringos out on Ave. Revo either.
I think that those who choose to negoiate with the street ladies should be able to do quite well now. They were more agressive than in the past couple of months.
I will be going back next weekend, and hopefully I will remember some names to write about.

The prices at AB & HK were the same. Both were pretty crowded, more so than two weeks ago. I think the crowd size helps with keeping up the costs. The drinks are slightly less in HK. With the hottie's and it is crowded as it was they know someone will probably take them for full cost. What amazes me is how ladies many never go arriba. I would think it was about 50% last weekend.
I do think that the street girls (AKA sprinklers for the sound they make) could be had for a good cost right now. For the past few months they have not been as grabby. Last weekend you didn't want to get in arms length of them. I think with many fewer girls out, and tourism down, it is not overly crowded like the gringo tourist traps of the AB & HK, so a deal could fairly easily be struck. I did ask a street girl who told me twenty dollars, if that was sin ropa, and she said yes. I didn't bring up BBJ, or CBJ.
I have to admit, I'm not much of a wheeler/dealer when it comes to sexo. With having been down there twice a month for about a year now, my choices in women is getting much better, and my ability to say NO is now damn near perfect. I have found a couple that will go out drinking and dancing with me, and back to la cama, for no addtional charge, if I choose. I normally choose not. I am a fat old f*rt, and not looking for a girl friend.
Another nice thing about being in town often is my amigo and I wanted to get something to eat, so they kept our table and seats empty at AB until we returned.
I'm going to do a quick turn this weekend, taking the Amtrak Saturday morning and and returning Sunday morning.

As you know TJ is a hot bed with many situational changes, like last week the border car lanes were closed for six hours. First time since the 60's.
The Amtrak train ride sounds really cool..it goes right along the beach. What a view from the double decker in the summer time ! One Amtrak train and one blue line trolley to the border. What a deal for $42.00 !
Metrolink and Coast trains would save you more than 50% on transportation and still have the same view...it would add to the travel time depending when you would leave atleast an hour ... a total of 4.5 hours one way. Metrolink and Coast have cut back on service and the schedule sucks.
Metrolink has the worst accident record in the whole USA and Canada.
Savings of $20.00 plus on a roundtrip comes with a price and assumed risk.
Going in the train is like being on a vacation. Travel by train can be a highlight on a good clear warm summer day.
Going by plane, car or bus is not the same thing like a train ride. Lots of options on a train.

I don't have a question, instead advice. The Amtrak is a rip-off. First, they overcharge and are usually late. Plus the track ends around downtown San Diego so you still have to wait and take the SD trolley($5 more) which eats up about 30-45 more minutes of your time for a total of about 3 and once in my case 4 hours of travel time.
If you're leaving from the Santa Ana station, I recommend the InterCalifornias bus. It's 28 dollars round trip from East L.A. Perhaps cheaper from Santa Ana. Plus they drop you off right at the border. The trip is about as fast as driving there yourself. There's also the Tres Estrellas bus which has about the same schedule as InterCalifornias. Not sure they're price though but I'm sure it's competitive with InterCalifornias.
Buses are scheduled around 1 every hour. Look into it.

As for getting "ripped off", that is a very relative term. Just because something is cheaper doesn't mean that it is of value to all.
I have no desire to ride a bus to Tijuana. I would drive before I do that, which I do when others are going with me. The $17.50 R/T and the extra two hours (R/T), for me, is well worth the additional time and cost. I am not a bus person. On the train I can get up and walk to the club car for a drink or food, go to a large bathroom, and unless seats have gotten much bigger in buses, I will have a more comfortable seat. It also rides along the coast for much of the way which I enjoy.
I would equate saying that someone is being ripped off by Amtrak to saying that anyone who sessions in a club is getting ripped off. You can have a street lady for less than half the cost of a club lady, and there are some very hot street girls. So why spend $73.00 for a club woman when you can have a street women for $30.00? Just as I don't feel ripped off taking Amtrak, I don't feel getting ripped off by sessioning with a club lady. Although some day I will session with a street lady, I will always also session with the club ladies even though it costs more.

Well if you're okay with the longer trip and paying more in return for other conveniences then I suppose it's fine. The trip to and back from Tj is the least favorable part for me. I'll continue to chose the cheaper and faster method just to get the travel part out of the way because during Tj trips, my mind is set on either getting to Tj or leaving Tj.
It bugs me that traveling to Tj is so lengthy that most of my time is spent on the road than having fun at my favorite resort.
