Flights are NOT returning to normal with a flick of a switch. It will take years for forward bookings (and confidence) to return to travel. Just like in my Navy days before a carrier deployed, we would spend days and weeks on end going around in circles of the coast to CA doing all of the required carrier quals for take off and landings for the aircrews and ground crews before we headed out west. Same thing for the airlines. I predict, look at the bookings and flights available starting after April and you can see that what Fauci says, will probably happen.

They have more than enough active pilots to cover any possible increase in flying this year. Recalled pilots should plan to be back on the street when CARES 2 runs out (March).
If AA planned to fly those recalled pilots (who will return as First Officers) they would put an immediate stop to training Captains to be First Officers, and start training some active First Officers to be Captains.
I pray things turn around quickly, but the worse days are still ahead of us.

Flying will be interesting when flights start ramping up with previously idle planes maned by idled pilots.

The problem is that is part of the "737 family of planes "so all the general public will care about is that it was a "737". Boeing just needs to completely re brand its product line to disassociate from the name carrying the stigma.

I'm hoping against hope I'll be able to get out to the Philippines at some point this year. Probably more realistically next year. I'd like base myself somewhere with the best chance of cultivating the non and semi pro girls. Not really big on the bar and club / streetwalker scene.
So, I figure I'm better of avoiding Manilla / Angeles / Subic Bay. I hear Cebu City mentioned a lot (and have read reports from there on semi / no pros.) Would anyone recommend somewhere else?
Realize it's bad form to ask for information without contributing. Have experience with mongering in the UK, Middle East, parts of Europe, so will be keeping an eye out and commenting when I can.

If you don't like bars and clubs then the answer is simple: don't go there. Assuming you are reasonably presentable and respectful it's not difficult to meet girls and get their numbers in shops, markets, banks etc. Of course there is also online.
All the places you listed have both hard core red light and quieter areas. Just pick those that you prefer. Provincial areas can be much more relaxed but do take some time to settle in and connect with local girls.

I've had a quick play on PinaLove for research, plenty of interest from the pros and non-pros (or, not as overt pros) as soon as I put up a picture. (Such a handsome guy like me, haha) I'm in my early 30's, white, in shape. But average looking.
Couldn't get anywhere with the non-obvious pros (didn't want to invest too much time, go to Whatsapp or be able to suggest a meet), but the obvious working girls were agreeing to literally anything and everything for less than the price of a pack of cigarettes in the UK.
Times must be pretty tough out there.

Better to blow money that way than to start paying out millions more in lawsuits, that is if one can sue like they do in the USA in some of these places. Better to show that they had some time at least flying in the air if only for practice than not having flown.

You already have to keep your qualifications up every so often or you can not fly anyway. Most can also be done on the ground in an approved simulator as well. It is not as hard as you think. If you know how to fly then you know how to fly. You only need to obtain a type rating to be able to fly a particular plane over 12,000 pounds because of certain intricacies. The computer mostly flies the plane. And checklists are used to know when to flip which switches.

Western airlines have a much higher bar than for someone just to throw a few switches. A pilot without a job is not going to afford simulator time to retain any ratings. As of now, every A380 qualified pilot is un-current on type. It will cost the same to make them current again if they haven't flown for 3,6,18 months, so no need to retain currency. The airlines will be planning this as a start-up cost for bring aircraft and crew back online.
To get this back on topic. I do know there was a Qatar captain that used to jet in / out of Ph and maintain a very pretty girl. She was a former AC freelancer whom he took out of the market. She would post pics pf herself swanning around the globe in business class and major cities. Good for her as a 21 year old. I deleted her from my fb friends as I couldn't compete with that.
