Where should I stay in Santo Domingo? I'm looking for a place that's guest friendly and clean. I noted there are three Marriott properties in SD. Are they guest friendly?

I suggest calling the hotels and asking, that's what I did and was told it was a 3 o dollar guest fee which they waved due to my level in their rewards program.

I am making a return visit the end of August and was thinking of trying Air BnB. Does anyone have any suggestions on a good place to stay from SD to La Romana? I would like to find something that is within walking distance to beach, malls, supermarket.

For economy accommodations I stay at Maison Gartreaux in Gascue (it's behind the Crowne Paza on the Malecon). Clean, quiet, breakfast around $30/ night. Not the best of neighborhoods but I've never had any trouble. Fifteen minute walk to Colonial Zone. Sometimes I splurge and stay at Napolitano for the great view and swimming pool but it's $100/ night. I'm pretty sure every place in DR is guest friendly.

I was looking for one place to stay for the week that could be in SD, La Romana or anywhere in between.

No worries because I rented a condo in Boca Chica on Airbnb for short money.

Security had to kick out a drunk chick from my room last time and they were super cool and laughing about it.

ANyone find any good cheap massage joints in Santo Domingo? I know asking for a rub and tug is a bit much there but it'the be nice to find a cheap legit massage place to go to.

I've not found a good massage in SD. Avoid the touts in the Colonial Zone because they are ripoffs and not good massages. If you are willing to take 2 buses or a taxi to Don Julio beach there is an excellent massage girl on the beach there. I think her name is Mary. I think it was 500 P / hour for a great albeit no happy ending massage.

One was on the road behind the hotel a few blocks toward the airport. One was on a side road the other direction. Without directions I wouldn't find either one they are pretty hidden but had a surprisingly large number of girls in both.

Damn the whole badoo, domcupid, tinder thing is a lot of work. I need to hire an assistant to do this crap. Although I wish I was 10 years younger, I wish I had tinder when I was single. Very interesting little app.

Is there any mall that is better for picking up girls than the others? Trying to kill two birds with one stone and meet a girl at mall but also have the option to expand my selection at the mall. Fun times.
