The beach is mainly dead but there is always a bunch of guys hanging out at Rubys bar and hermans siempre sol bar.
What are the main hot spots for girls between 10:00 am. 3:00 pm?
I spent most of my mornings and early afternoons in Sosua sleeping LOL
I heard a rumor about Classico being sold to Willy as well and that it will be closed for remodeling, but I am not sure if that is true.
Thanks for the update. I've never been a big fan of Clasicos so I hope this rumor is true.
I heard a rumor about Classico being sold to Willy as well and that it will be closed for remodeling, but I am not sure if that is true.
I am not doubting your information, Willy never "owns" the bars he builds, he acts as The GC and gets the business up and running.
He does not actually own The D'Latin spot, he built it and gets paid somehow, I am not going to speculate how he is compensated.
He created Sosua Life / Latinos and moved on, it's what he does.
The current owner of Classicos is feeling the heat with the competition, his ingenious RD200 entry policy did not help, which I believe came to an end recently a little too late.
SeaCrets will be the next hit and run, a strip club in Sosua?

Classicos & D'Latin
So, what does that mean for the future of Classicos? Didn't think there was much wrong with it that needed to be changed. Open earlier?
After drinking at El Toro bar me, Gogo, BBBL and another wingman went over in front of Classicos and saw Willy again down at the Merengue bar. He was scoping out the place with some other guy. He said he was checking out what kind of changes he wanted to make because he was going to fix the place up. (Side Note: When we were at D'Latin he said he bought Classicos Thursday for $1.5 million. When we saw him again at Merengue he said he bought it for $1 million - just something I noticed). He asked if we were going inside Classicos. We told him yes and he told the security people to let us in for free. The place was empty when we got inside. We had a few drinks then chicas started coming in. Three times I called a different chica over. The first one said 3000 pesos. The two after said US$100. I think these hookers around here are turning into comedians.
Tomjackin you would not even recognize D'Latin now. Remember how me, you and Gogo were like the only people there beside maybe 2 more dudes at the bar? Well now you can barely walk through the place. There were wall to wall people there. And now they have 2 bars. And where those rocks were on the way to the toilet there now sits a place to get food. I guess we were pioneers to that place and two months later can't even get inside of it.

Hollywood Nights
I passed by a big place in Sosua called Hollywood Nights. It's in between CMP and Passions, and is on the same side of the street. Looks like a strip club or something similar. It's not yet open. Someone said it's supposed to open in a week or two. Anyone know anything about it?

Last time it was open you could get a lap dance for 1500 pesos, not sure why the business failed.

I think it has been re-financed 5X to 5 owners and still has no title!
Is this the old Velvet Glove around the corner from The Blue Dolphin complex?
I think it has been re-financed 5X to 5 owners and still has no title!
Thats the place. At one time it was owned by the bunch of Canadians who also owned or operated Jungle Juice on the beach and the bar / club at the top of the hill coming off the beach.
Isn't this the site of the original Passions but not in the same building?
You are correct sir.
That was the real Passions! Two rooms at the back with curtains across. 3 chicas and a small bar. It has come along way.
That was the real Passions!
Good you got to experience it! Sosua used to have a really cool vibe back in the day.
Good you got to experience it! Sosua used to have a really cool vibe back in the day.
You are right. Back then the action was not so concentrated, My first trip I hardly ever went down to Merengue Bar, there was just as much going on at Dominoes and later at night at High Caribe. Can you imagine the present crowd of weekend warriors making the trek all the way to the end of PC to enjoy High Caribe?
